Lovely 300 year old property in a small village. Cosy room above the pub, with small but well appointed ensuite. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Heated towel rail and radiator in room. A very good breakfast with a large variety of hot and cold options. Very helpful staff who assisted taking our suitcases upstairs to our room. On site parking shared with visitors having a drink or meal at the hotel. The hotel was in a great location for exploring the surrounding countryside.

The breakfast was the best of our 8 day walking holiday, along the Pennine Way.

Somewhere to store muddy and wet boots, ie a drying room would be great.

The pub is beautiful and the surroundings are gorgeous, with some of the best walks we have been on. The food is delicious and the rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable and well decorated. We have stayed here a few times now and always happy to return.
