Another out of the way hidden gem, stayed there a few times while motorbiking between Portugal & France and I love the place, would have never found it if it was not for a refueling need & a meal in Ciudad Rodrigo
The restaurant facilities are great but the menu & service is not matching the place 🤔

Location & parking facilities
The staff need a lot of customers come first training and as they are a multi lingual hotel some English speakers staff would help and they were very miserable, rude & abrupt and not very welcoming or helpful, I tried to open the garage with 3 different coded keys and they would not work but the receptionists went and opened the door for us so why did it work for them and not for us.

Comfortable rooms, helpful staff and good location. Easily walkable to city.
Secure parking for motorcycles was welcome.

The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
The facilities for wheelchair users are poor. The slope to access reception is steep and slippery. The room was nice but the shower facilities were not suitable for a wheelchair user. The shower had limit access and the fittings were old and need changing. The sink didn’t have a plug, so the tap needs to be kept running, therefore wasting water. Ironically there are stickers on the mirrors telling you to look after the environment.
