Overview:
- Booked 6 months in advance for combo of celebrating Thanksgiving and my dad’s 88th birthday.
- 3 days before flying in, the owner informs me that there’s a bathroom addition underway.
- My extended family who came in from out of town had booked hotel nearby hotel accommodation.
- VRBO dropped the ball and didn’t have anywhere else to move me to nearby and they used avoidance tactics when I tried to call — put me on hold and never came back, transferred to nowhere. I spent 4 hours the first couple days of my vacation and after my vacation same thing — probably 15 hours all in all. Never got any kind of compensation in any form from either VRBO or the owner.
The house would have been great if it had indeed been tranquil and construction free. So renter beware. Please note that the owner refused to admit it was under construction even though there was a bathroom foundation poured. And 2x4 frame — right next to fire pit and jacuzzi. So much for tranquility.
Very dissatisfied. Feel like I was mistreated. And with only 3 days notice — I was trapped into this reservation.

This property was perfect for our needs. Able to walk down to the Strand with the pup easily. Felt safe. Lots of dog walkers in the community.
Inside Alexandra has all the amenities to make yourself at home. We did a lot of cooking and weren't lacking in any tools/utensils. Laundry set up was wonderful.
Comfortable beds/pillows. Good heat/air circulation. (Yes, it was a bit cool during our time in San Diego). I had to do a few Zoom calls, and the computer station setup was perfect for a nice, clean background and window-lit space. Strong/fast internet.
Really inviting outdoor spaces for sitting/soaking up the sun, sitting around the firepit, relaxing in the hottub, playing fetch with the dog. Off the street parking for one vehicle.
The absolute best was the communication and support Alexandra gave as it was for less than pleasant reasons we were in town. We will be back to really take advantage of all the relaxation to be had. Highly recommend.

Tranquil, comfy, clean and close to everything! Super host is available and great to work with. The property is wonderful. Perfect size, comfortable beds, lovely yard, and has everything we need. Pet welcoming and safe, friendly neighborhood. Even has a putting green!

Cant say enough about this home. Felt like our own. We rent every year at Oceanside and this has been the best experience. Owners were amazing and responsive. House is fully stock, there was nothing I couldnt find. Beds were the most comfortable. We used everything, from firepit, BBQ, hot tub and mini golf.
Was able to work in mornings with thier fast wifi. Neighborhood is clean, safe to take walks. AC worked great which was a must for us. TV and music. Appliances worked great. Loved everything.

The host at the location was very informative prior to arriving. The accommodations and location were superb. This has been the most relax, easy going stay i have had in a Vrbo. I am planing on vacationing with this host in the future and I would highly recommend this Vrbo.

A very nice little property which is well stocked and well taken care of. It’s also in a great location close to shops and beach. I had good communication from the hosts and definitely would return.

Everything was as described.
We had an excellent stay. The location is a few blocks off the beach (about a half mile). A great diner and a great brewpub are within walking distance, about three blocks away. It's adjacent to an elementary school, and the neighborhood is peaceful, friendly, and safe with lots of dog-walkers, joggers, and gardeners. It's super quiet, yet with easy access to major thoroughfares, perfect if you have a car.
The owner has put a lot of care and thoughtfulness into design. There is a superabundance of extra linens, and they are nice ones. There are even deluxe place mats for the table, if you want to use them. Quality cleaning supplies and other items are stored in the garage. These details reflect the owner's high standards.
Because the sidewalk cannot be blocked, a long car (bumper to bumper) cannot be parked in the driveway for very long (or else you will be cited by the city). My Honda Accord fit with just inches to spare. If your car is too long, you can safely park in the street.
There are two televisions (living room and one bedroom) with extended cable; there's a little laptop for your use; and the WiFi internet is superfast. There is also AC, which we did not need to use. But the majority of properties at the coast lack AC, so this is an important detail in the months when it might get hot.

We are so happy that we were able to stay at this home for a month. Clean, comfortable and well stocked, the home was a perfect retreat for us. There are two great outdoor patios and a hot tub in the back yard. We enjoyed the putting green and a great playlist from the stereo set up! It is in a quiet and peaceful Oceanside neighborhood, very walkable to beach, pier and downtown. Alexandra is a great host – sent us tons of information about the rental before we arrived, and was very attentive and prompt with answers to the few questions we had during our stay. A real gem!

Just a few blocks from the beach, and easy access to both Oceanside Drive and Coast Highway, the main streets in Oceanside. Try Hill Street Donuts on the Coast Highway near Vista for some good donuts, and Venetos Cucina for Lasagna Al Forno

We had a great time staying at the house for the whole month! It had everything we needed to work remotely during the days and enjoy a beach vacation in the afternoons. There was a huge supply of dishes, towels, rugs, and blankets to make our stay very comfortable. Even bathrobes to use after getting out of the hot tub! We also had our dog with us and I was glad that the back yard was completely enclosed and very secure.

I do not think that I can say enough good things about this lovely home. It was so well put together, plus it had everything needed for a pleasant stay: coffee, creamer, utensils, dishwasher, excess to the washer & drawer, working AC & Grill and the Hot Tub was just the icing on the cake! The yard was just lovely and the shower in the back was an added bonus were we were able to wash our dog- who did not want to leave (and neither did we!) The host was so responsive and the neighborhood was quite, safe and a wonderful place to walk the dog around. Thank you so much & we will definitely be back to this lovely beach home!

We loved this place. It fit our needs perfectly. Well stocked and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful with our questions and very understanding about a mishap we had. The surrounding houses/yards were beautiful and the ocean was a short walk. We highly recommend it.

The house was pretty nice. The only items of low quality were the bathroom towels and bed sheets. Nice kitchen and nice yard. Unfortunately, our vehicle was ransacked the first night of our stay and we were very worried about staying at this house the rest of the time. We had to lock up our belongings inside the house because we didn't trust the neighborhood after the car incident. The owner looked at her camera recordings for that night and didn't see anything significant. However, I felt that she wasn't too concerned that the incident occurred. The other nice thing about the house was that there were dog supplies and beach supplies in the garage, which was a thoughtful touch.

Location is perfect, my dog loved having a fenced yard to hang out in, multiple seating areas inside & outside, very clean and well stocked with everything!

Shower door is only 1/2way covering the shower so water gets everywhere. The upside is that its located close to Oceanside beach and Carlsbad.

The property was wonderful! It's a perfect location if you want to get away, but be conveniently close to the beach, great restaurants, and all the action. Alexandra was awesome and so nice to work with.
