Daintree Wilderness Lodge

It was a more secluded hideaway, lots of amazing rainforest walks. We loved the elevated walkways to each cabin. We were fortunate enough to have a Cassowary and his offspring visit our shack. Our hosts were awesome and the locally sourced food was excellent. When you make your reservation time, your meal is served at that exact time! Which was great as we had a 7 p.m. night walk arranged. While there was no internet in the rooms(only the main sitting/dining area), there was a TV and DVD's, which was kind of nostalgic.

While the cabin has a skylight( the entire peak of the roof is skylight) and it saves on using power for lighting the place, my partner struggled with sleeping due to the light coming in, and the sound of the heavy rain on the metal roofing. Don't misunderstand me, these are small weird things for people to know just in case, but I highly recommend this place to stay for 2-3 nights.

Amazing location of the cabin in the middle of the rain forest with enough privacy (despite other guests staying nearby) to make it feel special and relatively secluded. Staff was amazing and recommended us a great nighttime tour. The food was even more amazing and the ambiance was incredibly special, definitely felt like fine dining.

Slightly pricey but for us definitely worth it. Not practical for people with big suitcases because of the wooden walkways but no problem for us.

Loved the rainforest, our cabin, restaurant and the staff were very friendly.

Disappointed we couldn’t use live TV. No wifi in our cabin. Made our 2 nights a bit boring with nothing to do. We ended up going to bed early.
