Very friendly helpful staff. It was cold weather during our stay but we were pleased that we had electric blankets on the beds and a heat pump in the unit to keep us nice and warm. It was also great that we had a kitchenette with a stove to cook on .

The lighting in the unit was'nt the best. It took awhile for the lights to brighten up . It could have used bigger lights.

It was nice & clean, lovely staff we enjoyed our stay.

The side of the bed that I was on didn't have a power point for the electric blanket to connect.

We stayed here while attending the ANZMRL Kōtiro Tournament over in Rotorua. Great accom and hosts. Fave feature was the Shower, was top notch, room sizes were just right. Only thing we didn't get to do was swim in the pool as we would arrive back in Whakatāne too late. Which was a bummer as that was a draw card when choosing Alton Lodge. Next time!

Friendly hosts. Suggested change from a unit to a studio at a better price. Laundry facilities were available. Comfortable bed. Everything was totally satisfactory for a one night stay.

An observation. Interior was 90'ish but everything was totally fine and the price was good.

Enjoyed our stay everything in our room was really clean and the family that we’re looking after the motel were really lovely and welcoming. The kids really loved the pool and everything was close by supermarket town food outlets would definitely stay again.

Alton Lodge was fantastic and central to everything we wanted to do and see in the Bay of Plenty. We had all the facilities we needed, was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable beds. The pool was awesome. Hosts were friendly. A great place to stay. We will definitely be back.
