Host was amazing! Completely took care of all our needs

Breakfast was good.

Water not filtered, so told not to drink the tap water. Necessitated purchasing several large bottles of water. Dead bugs on the floor. Beds very hard. The owner expected cash payment. The owner said it would be $20 to give the 2 of us a ride to the Drake Bay Airport. This was the same total amount we paid a woman to pick us up at the airport, so I agreed. After driving us to the airport, he said the price was $20 per person. This was the first mention of "per person".

The owners were absolutely lovely. They treat us with a lot a care and attention and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Place is sparkling clean and the hkmemade brekfast every morning was delicious

The hospitality was the best. our host took very good care of us, met us at the beach, and helped us make all of our connections in and out of Drake Bay. He promptly answer all my questions on WhatsApp and we felt he really cared about making our stay successful. The breakfasts were great and he went out of his was to accommodate us.

The rooms were basic, but clean and as advertised.

The Cabinas Pura Vida are a very good place to stay in Drake. It’s close to the city center, restaurants but also the beach. The breakfast was good and the owners are super friendly and will help you with anything from booking tours to driving you to the beach where the tours normally start. Everything was clean and there was even a kitchen we were able to use if wanted.

clean, spacious room, with private bathroom in the room (this was not indicated at the time of the booking so it was a very pleasant surprise!) good location (8’ from main beach) also nice staff who helped us with boat tickets to Sierpe and with luggage to and from the boat at arrival and departure :)

The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was really really good.

The hotel receptionist was really very nice, she even let us park our car in front of the hotel even after checkout. The breakfast was great, really very tasty. I rate the environment and location of the hotel very positively, if you are going to Corcovado National Park, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the beach where you will meet. The room is spacious and functional.

The equipment in the rooms is a bit older. If you have noisy neighbours, you will hear everything, the walls are quite thin.

The staff spoke no English which made it somewhat hard to communicate

Pleasant Kimberly picked us up from our beach landing which was very helpful and somewhat unexpected. The AC worked fine, the shower had hot water, the WIFI worked fine, the bed was comfortable enough and things were clean. Good enough for a one night stop-over.

Once we told Kimberly we were not interested in any tours because we were just staying the night and moving on she seemed to get less interested in helping us. We asked her for the location of a place we needed to find and she said she would find out where it was for us...that didn't happen. She asked if we had any dietary restrictions...We told her one thing, that I don't eat eggs. However, I did indeed get eggs for breakfast. These things are not that unusual while in Costa Rica though...LOL. In the morning we looked around to see if we were going to get a ride down to the beach for our boat trip out but that didn't occur either.

The breakfast was very good, and something to look forward to every morning. It is cooked right before your eyes.

The lagy on the reception was very friendly and helped to us with all what we need! Location was good, close to restaurants and not far away from the beach

There have enougt spaice only for two persons in the room, if we are more people in the room will be difficult with the baggage!

Location was great. Loved the hammocks outside for relaxing. It was always nice and quiet. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were very clean when we checked in.

Wish that eggs were an option every day since the pancake breakfasts would leave me a little hungry/didn't really offer protein.

Basic accommodation With nice shared kitchen and hammock area. Kimberley and Hilda were lovely. Excellent tours were organised and we are so glad we made the journey to this beautiful part of Costa Rica.

Would have been good to have been told in introductory information that it is usually better to get a boat to drake bay as we drove (you need a 4x4) and the roads are unmade and can be hampered by the rain.

the staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. They came to pick us up to the beach when we got to Bahia Drake, which was very helpful. The hotel is very nice, with a common area with hammocks and seating area and the room was spacious and clean. We did a stay in Corcovado for a night afterwards and they kept our luggages during that night with no charge and they took us down to the beach to take the boat back to Sierpe afterwards as well.
