The hotel is in an excellent location, right across from the beach. It has its own private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas available free of charge. The family room we stayed in consisted of two spacious rooms, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a balcony. Each room has its own TV and air conditioner. The beds are large and comfortable, and the cleanliness throughout the entire property is flawless. The hotel has an elevator and its own private parking. There is also an on-site restaurant serving excellent and very varied food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, truly going above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. By the way, this is the only restaurant I have visited during my ten trips to Albania that has a accessible restroom tailored for persons with disabilities. I sincerely recommend this hotel.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its location. You are literally about 30 seconds from the beach, and hotel guests can use the sunbeds there for free, which was incredibly convenient. The beach itself is lovely, with beautiful clear water, and we really appreciated not having to search for or pay for sunbeds every day. The location within Himarë is also very good. Restaurants, cafés and bars are all within walking distance, but the hotel is tucked away from the busiest and noisiest part of town. We actually preferred the beach here to the very central beach in Himarë. Our room also had a sea view, which was lovely. I imagine the view from the higher floors must be much better though. Breakfast being included was convenient, and although it was very basic, we could always put together a simple breakfast with eggs and make ourselves a salad.

Unfortunately, for us the price simply didn’t match the quality of the accommodation. From the main photos on Booking, we expected the more modern and attractive rooms shown there, but the room we received felt quite old-fashioned, with dated furniture and a bathroom that was clearly in need of renovation. The shower was small, the water pressure was poor, and the shower head was broken and couldn’t be properly fixed in place. There was also very little storage or shelf space in the bathroom, and even the AC remote was missing a battery. These are small things individually, but together they made the room feel much less comfortable, old and well-maintained than we expected for this price. Breakfast was also extremely basic and identical every day, and most of the fruit was not ripe. It was possible to find something to eat, but considering the price of the hotel, we expected a little more variety and quality. Perhaps the value for money is different outside the summer season, but during our stay the price was very high. At this price point, we have stayed in significantly more modern and comfortable hotels elsewhere in Europe, so we expected more — especially in Albania. One thing I would also mention for travellers choosing where to stay around Himarë: the town itself is convenient if you want restaurants, cafés and some evening atmosphere, but in our opinion the most beautiful beaches are outside the centre. Knowing what we know now, we might have considered staying directly near one of those beaches, such as Livadhi. That said, if you specifically want to stay in Himarë and have everything within walking distance, this hotel has a genuinely excellent location — especially because it combines easy access to town with a quieter setting and a very nice beach right in front.
