Amaryllis Hotel

Ho soggiornato cinque notti all' Amarillys Hotel. È stato esattamente come me l'aspettavo: un struttura a conduzione familiare , con qualche segno del tempo ,nel pieno centro di Hydra Town, con stanza e bagno di piccole ma confortevoli dimensioni, scrivania , armadio e comodini , il tutto curato e pulitissimo, e un delizioso poggiolo abitabile con una vista fantastica! Anche la terrazza sul tetto è molto gradevole per fare colazione e/o aperitivo circondati dalla vista a 360 ° sul panorama di Hydra . Il proprietario, Mike, è una persona accogliente, sorridente, gentilissima ed è stato molto disponibile ad aiutarmi a risolvere un problema personale in tarda serata! L'Amarillys Hotel è un luogo con ""un cuore antico ",un'oasi di Grecia vera che si distingue in un'isola, Hydra, che pur bellissima sta cambiando troppo velocemente per accontentare un tipo di turismo troppo veloce e poco curioso dell'anima vera dei luoghi. Grazie per l'accoglienza, Mike e Katarina, continuate con questo spirito e cuore .

The hotel is lovely. The location is excellent. They had slippers, comb, shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. Also free water and tea and coffee . Kettle as well. Also there a nice rooftop to unwind in the end of the day. The owner is also kind.

I had a little issue with the aircon but the owner was helpful and tried to resolve it.

The owner is extremely friendly, kind and nice person. Hotel is small, but beautiful, and in a very good position, very near the port ( 100m) and to get there You dont need to go up by any stairs, just flat alley. You can leave Your luggage down in the reception, if You have your boat later in the day. We got traditional sweets on the first day of the year as a present, which was very nice.

Although the hotel and owners are very friendly, the hotel is old and very worned. It is nothing special for us, we like family traditional hotels, and maybe we had bad luck, but the first room we got (double room with balcony, room no.40) had huge mold on the wall!!!!. On our complaint room was changed for room no.36 ( without balcony). The room had strange smell in it, from humidity, as in the very tiny bathroom where issues with leaking water from celling, from the roof. Also sink was leaking. The floor was all the time wet. Also water boiler was permanently overheated, that it was need to be turned off evertime after shower, at the reception, which was very inconvinient. Last day of our stay was given us for free as a compensation, but we cannot recommend this place, I am sorry🤷
