Thon Hotel Fosnavåg

My stay at Thon Hotel was great, especially because the room was decorated exactly the way I asked — such a lovely touch. The restaurant was fine, but I hoped for a bit more. I asked about any celebration specials but didn’t get an answer, and the menu had very few choices. A risotto or more seafood options would’ve been perfect. One of the dishes we ordered was also forgotten.During check-out, the receptionist could have managed the line better. A quick question like “Are you checking out or already paid?” would have saved everyone a lot of time.Still, the hotel itself was excellent, and I appreciated the effort put into the room.

Hotel molto bello ed in posizione splendida anche se si vuole andare a Runde per vedere i Puffin, ci vogliono circa 20 minuti di auto. Camera molto bella cosi come tutto il resto della struttura. La colazione é straordinaria, si trova veramente di tutto e c'è un ottimo servizio, il prezzo va di conseguenza, non è propriamente economico ma bisogna ammettere che la qualità c'è, per una notte si può fare. Non hanno un parcheggio di proprietà ma di fianco, davanti alla banchina dove passano le barche, c'è un ampio piazzale dove poter parcheggiare gratuitamente e poi ci sono le scale che arrivano direttamente davanti all'hotel.

Breakfast really good. This is a business hotel, so lots of TV channels and tea coffee etc.

Front office staff - one in particular was not professional and very belittling. Too young and could be trained better to deal with people. Also parking is a disgrace. The same young woman told us to park our car in the hotel's open air carpark across the road from the hotel at a cost of NOK300 per day. Thankfully a guy checking in at the same time told us to not do that as the whole town is free parking, so park anywhere. Thon Hotel Fosnavåg, shame on you! We left a day early irritated, and were not even asked why by the front desk when we dropped our keycard off. Wow!
