Palazzo Nobile di San Donato is truly one of a kind, exceptional in every possible way. Its location in the heart of the historic center is simply magical. You can feel the authentic atmosphere of Montepulciano all around you, with the beautiful sounds of classical music drifting through the streets and creating an unforgettable ambiance. The room itself deserves at least two days just to fully discover and appreciate all its details. It combines history, elegance, comfort, and character in a way that makes you feel as though you are staying in a private palazzo rather than a hotel. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room with a breathtaking view, making every morning feel special. And the staff are truly outstanding — attentive, warm, and always ready to help with anything you might need, from dinner reservations to wine tastings and local recommendations. Most of all, Palazzo Nobile di San Donato is one of those rare places that you genuinely feel sad to leave behind. You have everything you could possibly need, and the experience feels complete from beginning to end. You simply cannot ask for more. A truly unforgettable stay.

Hospitality was excellent. Friendly and helpful host. Lovely coffee & breakfast every morning. Historic charm and comfortable bed. Location was right at the entrance of historic Montepulciano which made it easy to stay in town to walk the streets, enjoy a late dinner and easily walk back to the room. The historic town of Montepulciano is made up of VERY steep streets, so we got a good workout in every time we walked the streets!

Our particular room (standard double room) was right off the main entrance, which means that we heard everything in the main square - sometimes it was quiet and sometimes it was quite lively (one night we were up until close to midnight with karaoke right outside our window - thankfully that was only one night). It was the most expensive place we stayed during our visit in Italy, but the smallest (especially the bathroom, which was up a few stairs with a short entryway we had to duck through which wasn’t clear to us from photos upon booking). Keeping in mind this is a historic palazzo, so the intention was to keep that charm and not include many modern upgrades. We would stay here again, but would book a room with a view of the valley - seems like those were quieter and more spacious. At the time of booking, it was not clear from the photos that our room would be right off the main entrance with no soundproofing by on the window and with such a small bathroom. Still a neat place to stay!

La scarsa pulizia, (purtroppo abbiamo trovato qualche insetto) sia nella camera da letto che nel bagno. Inoltre, come già fatto presente alla struttura, sarebbe meglio se specificassero che nella stanza (entrando dal portone subito a destra) NON C’È il BIDET , cosa molto strana essendo in Italia, dunque dovrebbe essere esplicitato qui su booking. Abbiamo chiesto un cambio stanza e ci hanno detto che sarebbe stato possibile a €80 in più.
