Casa Torices Real 12

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once you step inside, it is a delightful oasis with lovely, spotless rooms and incredibly warm staff.

The Wi-Fi could be better.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Turística Real 12. The cleanliness was excellent and truly one of the things I appreciated the most. The rooms are cleaned every day, with fresh sheets and towels, and the cleaning lady is incredibly kind and friendly. The hotel is located in a very popular and beautiful neighborhood of Cartagena, which allowed me to experience the true local culture of the city. The people in the area are very warm, friendly, and welcoming, with that genuine Caribbean spirit that makes Cartagena so special. I really enjoyed feeling part of the real Cartagena rather than just staying in a tourist area. The location is also very convenient. There are supermarkets and local stores nearby, including Ara, D1, and Megatienda, as well as several local restaurants. Santa Rita Market is also close by, where you can experience more of the local atmosphere. Marbella Beach is about a 10-minute walk away, while the Historic Center is approximately 1 kilometer away on foot and only about 5 minutes by car. John and Diana are excellent hosts. They are very attentive, kind, and welcoming, and they made me feel completely at home. I also loved the dogs at the hotel. There is a very old dog who needs a little extra patience, but it is clear that he is cared for and loved very much, which I found really sweet. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Casa Turística Real 12. The cleanliness, location, hospitality, and authentic Cartagena atmosphere made my stay very special. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The airconditioning was fantastic. The common area and pool were nice and the staff was super friendly. Felt safe with the security cameras and locks.

The room was a bit small for a family of four, but was fine for one night.

the Pool was dirty so the days we stayed it was not open. half the reason I booked the place, only found out when I arrived. location was in a rough area. I wouldn’t feel safe walking around as soon as I waited by the gate for Uber and lots of men were making kissy noises at me. kitchen could be renovated.
