Kipepeo Beach and Village

Comfortable, clean, spacious and secluded chalet with a balcony to watch the birds, monkeys and mongooses from. Well tended paths and gardens and lots of great staff. Beach is clean and the sea is swimmable at all times, nice sandy bottom, no sea urchins. Good pizza and other food at reasonable prices. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Sita on reception gave us an excellent welcome briefing, with all the information we needed. WiFi is very patchy, we had data so not a problem for us. No hassle from vendors on the beach but coconuts etc available from them if you want them. Fantastic place for a peaceful and relaxing few days. Weekends are more lively but that was quite fun to see, for a day.

It is advised not to walk away from the area of the beachfront due to an attack on a tourist a couple of months ago down by the creek.

We only stayed one night here before heading to Zansibar by ferry. Simple but cute little huts directly at beach front. Comfortable beds, good mosquito nets and clean shared bathroom/shower. Staff was very friendly and helped with taxi service to Dar es Salaam. Very good choice if you have 1-2 nights and do not want to stay in the city center and dip you feet into the water. Beachfront is clean and safe. Be aware that there is huge traffic in the morning and later afternoon/evening in Dar so it takes a while to get here if you take the street over the bridge (recommend to take the small ferry if you want to cross the river)

It takes a long time to get here from Dar es Salaam bus station during rush hours. Better to stay in the city center if you are on the way to the airport or the ferry to one of the islands.

The beach front the breakfast was awesome and the staff especially the receptionist was awesome and very helpful
