My partner and I were exceptionally lucky to have stayed at this hotel. We had another hotel on the island cancel our reservation 4 days before our planned trip and Ayoba was thankfully available for our trip dates. We were particularly pleased with the late check-in option as our flight arrived quite late! For this, Ayoba also recommended an affordable airport transfer. Each morning of our stay we were greeted kindly by miss Irene who was not only very positive, but very helpful. Breakfast was always on time and contained everything we needed to start our day. Most of all, the location is amazing. It is minutes by foot from a mini market in which we bought all of our food and water for the week. The bus stop to Oia is only ten minutes away by foot and the best part is the walk to Fira. We did the sunset walk from Ayoba to Fira every night of our stay and it was wonderful. Staying outside of the Fira proper was the best decision for us because we always had free access to the caldera sunset and could enjoy quiet nights away from the boom and bustle. Finally, the pool was very clean and always at a nice temperature for us and we enjoyed it as often as possible.

We liked the staff member who helped us. Rinaki took care of us very well. She ensured that we had a packed breakfast because we had an early flight and gave us tips on places to visit. The location was very handy to food and to hire a car. The highlight was breakfast overlooking the Caldera.

No water was provided. No coffee or tea only the kettle. No cutlery, plates or bowls.

The position

There was no window in the studio, except a little one in the bathroom, therefore it was very humid. The shower was too hot and impossible to setup correctly. The breakfast arrives every day at 9 in a bag, and it is not possible to have it earlier. It was always the same: a bag with one egg, bread, butter and marmalade and some soluble coffee. They claim they make the bedroom everyday but it never happened during our stay.
