The Milford Arms

I was in room 2 - found it really cosy and it was noise free being on the top floor. It wasn’t far from Osterley park for the parkrun or Isleworth train station. Free parking

Really liked this place - great value for money. But being in Hounslow it wasn’t great when walking down the road - I didn’t feel safe (although this is nothing to do with the actual property).

The location was easy to reach – about 15 minutes on foot from the metro. The bed was fairly comfortable, and having a TV in the room was a nice bonus. The portable air conditioning unit worked fine for the mild temperatures during my stay. Breakfast was menu-based; I had the classic full English breakfast, which was excellent. The evening before, I also tried the pub downstairs, which doubles as a sports bar – I watched Arsenal vs Chelsea there. The burger and chips were outstanding, and the atmosphere along with the draught beer made for a great evening.

The room itself was quite small, which limited movement, and the bathroom was very compact too – the shower was fine but on the smaller side for taller guests. I managed to unpack my suitcase, though it was a tight fit. There's no lift, and as my room was on the top floor, carrying a 25kg suitcase up was quite a workout.

The property itself is very nice: the room was classic, clean, and well-maintained, with a great bathroom and shower. The pub downstairs is wonderful, super cozy, and they serve a really delicious traditional English breakfast. The only major issue was the room temperature. Staying there in June during a hot spell, the lack of air conditioning made the room extremely warm day and night, making it very hard to get a good night's sleep. However, I want to highlight how understanding the owners were. After discussing the issue, we managed to come to a fair mutual agreement. Even though it took some time to wrap up, they kept their word and proved to be honest and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately, summers in the UK are getting hotter, so hotels there should really consider installing proper air conditioning, otherwise the guest experience will suffer, Booking.com customer support was a disgrace for me this time...

Position was ok to reach out the London center area. Traditional british pub with nice local atmo.

Cleanless was a bit poor. Still using carpets. Very dusty. Room was loudy, facing the road with heavy trafic night and day.
