Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk

The room 634 was magnificent, very user friendly, the bathroom was anexperience by itself, the staff was more than polite and helpful, their proxedures are absolutely comprehensible and easy to follow. I would hapilly return back.

Very hard question. I can't find something needing improvement. Oh... Yes...Though I understand the in house policy, 12.5 euros charge for room service it is quite hard to swallow. I see it isthere to protect abuse of the roomservice offer but If you need a vouple of coffees and there is a surcharge almost as high as the coffees themselves, it gets a bit weird.

Our second VanderValk hôtel this weekend and no regrets ! We will come back. The reception staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful with a green area, you can sit and eat outside. The restaurants are very nice with a good choice and quality. The parking is huge and free of charge. You can take buses at the P&R / bus station nearby and reach Groningen easily. The room was large, clean and quiet; it was located in the second wing of the hotel above the wellness center. the bathroom had a very interesting concept the we liked : open area, walk in shower, separated toilet. You can prepare both coffee and tea. Lovely chocolates and bottles of waters welcomed us. Excellent air conditioning. Very nice swimming pool
