Anthony House was, for whatever reason, not available for our booked stay. Our host looked after us nonetheless and contacted us in advance to offer a larger apartment located close to our original booking for no additional cost as an alternative. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the bathrooms were excellent. Air conditioning was a life saver during the hot European summer! Our host met us at the unit to give us the keys and show us the unit. They also replied quickly to a query by text later in the evening. The local area felt safe and was well located for transport connections. Within easy walking distance were several pasticceria and a larger, well stocked supermarket.

The location was very close to the Roma Termini and the metro. The space was clean and well set up. There was a lift so it was easy to get bags up to the third floor. The host met us at the door so checkin was quick and easy.

The mattress was too soft, and they only gave 1 pillow each. The bathroom was a bit stinky of sewer. Check in required us to coordinate timing closely with the host.

Very clean Close to the Historic area and main train station

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathrooms were nicely remodeled. They gave us a second drying rack when we asked (ahead of time), which was really helpful as one load took both racks! Unfortunately, it took 24 hours for that single load to dry.

The sheets were stained and full of holes. The towels were ratty and falling apart and had been pressed so many times the pile was gone. It was like drying oneself on sandpaper. The washing machine door kept falling off whenever opened. The microwave was so old, the button labels had been rubbed off, so it was hard to use. The only paper products was toilet paper (and not enough). There wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit and be social (no couch, just a hard bench around the kitchen table). Couldn’t run all 4 air conditioners at once due to power insufficiencies. When we called about that, we were also told not to run the a/c when the washer was on.
