Chateau Du Landin

Beautiful chateaux, stunning views, especially the sunrise from the Ronde room, very welcoming staff and a great breakfast. Ronde room was spotless, gorgeous views and comfy bed.

I loved the whole vibe of the place, as if you were staying at a friend's country estate. Tea and coffee set out in the games room, where you can play pool. Dogs allowed everywhere. Old jazz standards playing tin the dining room. Lovely staff. Grand, but very informal. The building, itself. The grounds are wonderful - we went on a big walk with our dog. And of course... those views!!!!!!

The palace retains an antique, luxurious design. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you sense an air of nobility. The room offers a stunning view, and the service is personal and courteous.

We stayed in an old French château, which is undoubtedly beautiful and full of history, but the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations. There is no restaurant or bar available every day—only on weekends—and during weekdays they offered dinner on just one evening. It would have made a big difference to have the option for lunch, drinks, or snacks, especially given the lovely surroundings. Unfortunately, there is also no proper outdoor seating area to sit back and enjoy the weather, the view, and the nature. There is a dog in the house—cute and calm—but she is allowed everywhere, including the dining area during breakfast, which might not be comfortable for all guests. In terms of atmosphere, while the château itself is impressive, some of the interior details felt a bit unsettling. The paintings and statues, in particular, had a strange, almost eerie character that made certain areas feel slightly uncomfortable, especially at night. Overall, the value for money feels low. While it could appeal to those who enjoy historic places with a mysterious or gothic vibe, it may not suit everyone.
