Meroddi La Porta

Great location, we really liked the room it was spacious and clean. The staff was super helpful and accommodated all of our requests and even gave us some nice recommendations. Our flight was cancelled and they helped us to stay another night in the hotel. Breakfast with a view is also amazing and delicious!

The room for our last night was quite small and there wasn’t much conditioner or shower gel left. But this would be easily fixed by informing the staff.

Posizione centrale sotto la stupenda Torre Galata, la zona è molto animata con tantissimi locali e negozi, comoda per la metro e il tram. Il personale professionale ed estremamente gentile. Camera spaziosa molto bella e silenziosa. Insomma lo consiglio e ci tornerei sicuramente

L'hotel Meroddi La Porta si trova in una zona centralissima nel quartiere di Galata, a pochi minuti a piedi dalla metro M2. È una struttura pulita, lo staff è davvero gentile e disponibile e ci ha consigliato diversi tour e posti in cui mangiare. La camera era pulitissima, spaziosa e silenziosa. La terrazza dove si fa colazione ha una vista spettacolare, la colazione è a buffet; dolce e salata. BUONISSIMA!!

The property and the building itself was very good overall, the service of the staff was amazing too! whenever we needed anything we just had to send a message to Mr. Sevgi from the guest relations team and help/ provision would be on the way! I kinda understand why housekeeping is only once in two days because most of our time would be outside but necessary toiletries and other stuff should be provided every day without asking🫶🏼 The food for breakfast was decent, it could have had more variety and changes everyday.. also that labneh i only got to eat from it just for two days!! whyy?? it was the most delicious thing from all the other food..

From an architect and interior designer perspective.. the bathroom’s sink could be more wide (at least in the room i resided in) in order to put more stuff other than a toothbrush and toothpaste.. the water tap / faucet should be longer and more closer to us because it was so close to the countertop that every time i want to wash my hands the counter would be full of water and after every use you’ll have to dry off the water.. in conclusion; it was messy.. as for the shower, the rubber gasket / shower glass seal around the glass of the shower (again i’m talking about our room that we resided in) was getting off and water would get outside the shower.. another thing was the noise from outside but i’ve seen many people talk about it and also about all the trash surrounding the entrance from the surrounding shops.. it wasn’t pleasant to see not gonna lie, i think the hotel should take a step forward and talk with the responsible people that own these shops..
