Loved the lookout tower. A great feature and way to meet other guests. Relaxed informal atmisphere with attentive friendly staff.

Room adjoining staff accommodation so noisy with 6am starting work. Breakfast lacking in choices.

This hotel was great value, and we were allowed to enjoy all the facilities of the Shongwe Oasis, next door hotel, as well. Respecting the location being a national park, they follow some of sustainable and renewable energy practices, reducing waste and und using solar energy. Whoever designed this place was very thoughtful. You call tell that they paid attention to details. Spacious rooms, big bathroom with extra sink space, and both a tub and a shower. You don't struggle to find a place for all your daily routine products and kits. Dedicated workspace is decently sized too. The power outlet had the smart world traveller adapter. We loved the designs, especially the use of patterns and mosaic. Great colors too. The hotel restaurant was pretty good. During our 6 night stay, we didn't feel the need to find food elsewhere because the hotel food was that good (and we just wanted to relax and stop planning too). Breakfast was included. Lunch and dinner are fairly priced. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. What you see in photos is very accurate. You can enjoy the view of the Milky Way from the lookout tower at night. Would definitely book again if the road takes me back to Zimbabwe

Very minor details like use of canned beans in basically ketchup sauce in some dishes. Slightly too sweet cocktails.

Es war ein unglaublich schöner Aufenthalt. Der Pool, die vielen Pflanzen überall, die grosszügigen Zimmer mit A/C, der Lookout Tower inkl. Drink-Lift waren fantastisch. Die Drinks sind super lecker.

Es wäre toll, wenn es für das Abendessen mehr vegetarische Optionen geben würde.

The rooms were very spacious, the food and staff excellent. A good and affordable stay at the Falls. The rooms and all other facilities were super-clean and there is a really nice spa right next door.

There were some hick-ups with the bill and the activities that we had booked on our own, which were resolved but it took quite long at check out. The guests leaving after us had the same issue.

The staff was very accommodating and the room was large and clean. The breakfast was included in the price and was very good. I had a massage at the sister hotel next door and it was nice.

It was a bit farther from town than I realised.

Where do I even start with our experience with Shongwe Lookout? Genuinely one of the best places we have stayed in terms of cleanliness, facilities, food and friendliness of staff. The team could not do more to help. Within minutes of messaging about transfers and excursions the day before arrival, Brad had already arranged these for us with such promptness and helpful suggestions. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and the staff are all so warm and couldn’t do more for you. The food is just INCREDIBLE. The room was so beautifully decorated, well equipped and extremely clean. Thank you, Shongwe lookout team!
