Garner Hotel Cologne - Engelbertz by IHG

Good range of foods. Catered for gluten free enough not to be hungry. Great coffee. Room and bed were fine. In all, happy enough. People seemed nice enough. Until the lift broke.

The eggs weren’t great. But the rest was at least what you’d expect from a 3 star or better. But the lift broke which wasn’t handy when you are on the 3rd floor. I asked for some help with a suitcase for when we were leaving and received a really sarcastic reply today from the guy behind the desk. When it came to leaving, he said did I manage the suitcase to which I replied no. O have brought 3 bags down the 3 flights. Honestly, just left a bit of a bitter taste. If you don’t like foreigners, don’t work in a hotel? Or was it was because I asked to help bringing a suitcase down from a third floor? ONLY because the lift was broken. Otherwise everyone else was very nice.

La poszione in pieno centro e vicina alle principali attrazioni di Colonia. L'Hotel ristrutturato e molto curato nelle zone comuni. Camera accogliente, calda e arredata con gusto. Colazione a Buffett molto varia e completa di salato e dolce. Personale professionale.

❤️

Fantastic location to get around the city. Clean and tidy room.

A couple of staff members were great but others were unfriendly and smoked by the entrance despite us waiting at reception
