Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Skyline Hotel

We were there for 9 days. The breakfast was the same everyday. It was pretty good but some variation would have ben nice. Staff super friendly (rex was awesome and helpful). Location excellent for airport and trains/sight seeing.

The pool was a massive letdown. Woman's sauna and jacuzzi broken the whole time. broken tiles, rotting wood. Honestly it felt like two different hotels. We had planned to spend afternoons at the pool with family but this is not the pool for that.

The rooms are spacious. Helpful with the metro below.

They could use some updating such as the toilet door wouldn’t shut. Breakfast is extremely expensive if you don’t add to your booking before arriving ($40CAD). Staff aren’t extremely helpful. Ensure you bring your own swim cap as it is mandatory when using the pool.

Posizione, comfort camera e pulizia ottimi. Sotto all'hotel c'è un comodissimo snodo dei principali mezzi di trasporto e la struttura si rivela particolarmente comoda anche per questo.

Tutto il personale non parla una parola di inglese, inaccettabile per essere addetti alla reception di un hotel internazionale e non comprendere una parola di inglese. Molto grave.

unfortunately except from the breakfast I have nothing positive to say.

The hotel is situated right in a shopping mall. the concierge is on the first floor and the reception is on the 25th floor. there is a lot going on as people from the shopping mall are passing constantly through the hall of the 1st floor of the hotel. moreover many time I wanted to ask something to the concierge I had to look for him and many times he just was not there. to get to you room you have to take the elevator to the 25 floor and than change elevator and get to you room. no nice hotel atmosphere comes up in this place. the western 2 channels during my stay did not work. the shower was old and i you could not switch from handshower to roof shower even idk I tried very hard. the knob was so rusty or full of limestone that it was impossible to switch it. it was also not possible to regulate or switch off the airconditionig. the temperature was set to 25 degrees and I could not sleep the night. on the last day I asked at 10.00 o'clock in the morning if I could still use the swimming pool for 1 hour a little bit later. the lady said that I had already checked out and said no. I told her that I have never met such a policy in any hotel around the world but she insisted and repeated her no. overall my first very bad impression in a hotel with my over 25 years in Shanghai.
