We as a family enjoyed our stay at Linda's cabin. I love that its was so close to the lake (2 minute walk) and close to lots of shops. Everything you need is at the cottage. The backyard is huge and you can enjoy the fire pit (as long as there is not a fire ban). Linda was a great hostess. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s hard to imagine renting from a nicer person than Linda, and her beautiful cabin is just as amazing as she is. Everything was covered and a whole lot more. Rest assured you’ll sleep well in this little slice of paradise. Thanks again Linda.

It was a great place in the heart of sylvan lake! Close to all shops and the beach. It is exactly as described in the listing! We had a wonderful time.

Great location to the beach but the evening are loud with young people yelling to each other tracing their engines and playing loud BASE music drinking and doing drugs and not one night in seven was that ever patrolled in any way ant it’s the Main Beach Back Row Bandits as we called them party every evening????

Linda's cabin is a block away from the lake in walking distance to bars and shops. The cabin was exactly what we wanted, a cool little cabin. It's older and has some wear showing but that's what made it charming. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Linda was a fantastic host. She was in communication all the way through and being there was a breeze. My Mom and I would stay again.

Excellent location to bring the kids. Close walking distance to lake, beach and park. Great playground at park and shallow waters at beach. Nice fire pit in backyard with grill.

This cottage was perfect for our family to spent 4 great days.
It was very clean & cosy, had everything one needs for a wonderful stay. The owner, Linda , was friendly, welcoming and very nice to talk to. A very short walk to the beach. Close to a children play Park, a ice cream shop at the corner mmmmm
also a mmm corner ice cream store.

We stayed at the cottage in the middle of September and we found the cottage quiet and quaint and made our stay enjoyable. The owner was very kind and hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed.

The cottage is perfect for a getaway to the lake . The location is so perfect and just steps to the beach. Being right off the main Lakeshore Drive the cottage is walking distance to all the restaurants and the marina. The cottage is well equipped.

The property is 100 years old or so, and you need to keep that in mind when booking it. The floor is a bit crooked and the door are a bit tough to latch, but overall this was a great place to stay and we would be happy to stay here again.
Visited with my 2 boys, aged 10 and 13. Linda was very friendly and helpful, providing information about the town and some of the activities we could enjoy if the rain kept up. Fortunately it dried out by the following day and we were able to get outside.
My brother and his family joined us for much of the daytime activities, including backyard games and indoor board games, and the property was good for all of that (7 people total).
The location is fantastic. Being able to walk to/from the beach in 3 minutes is great, as is being so close to all the downtown shops and restaurants.
The property was not exceptionally clean, but nor was it exceptionally dirty. If you consider it to be more of a cabin than a house, then you'll have your expectations met.
It's not a huge place by any means, but is good value and we would certainly stay there again.

Couldn't get a better location and the place has a good kitchen, well equipped, nice smart t.v. and comfortable couches, great beds, both of them, very good to sleep on, half a block from the main beach and close to restaurants and nightlife, but in a residential neighborhood, too, full of interesting historic houses. Nice private yard and space for eating outside.

The cabin is cozy and quaint. There is enough cooking utensils and pots and pans, a juice pitcher, a coffee pot, and and a microwave to make life easy while on vacation. The hostess is a wonderful lady and willing to help out in every way. The location is fabulous - it could not be better! We will be back!

A two minute walk from the lake front, this was an excellent spot to enjoy Sylvan lake. I chose the cottage primarily for the proximity to the lake. Mrs Gaye welcomed us at the property and gave us a quick tour of the space. Everything was as listed.

This property is just a short half block from the beach! Perfect location for small families. The cabin is older and cozy, needs some work, but has all the amenities needed.

Older property with all the essentials plus yard, 2 decks, firepit and Netflix. Wifi excellent. Walking distance to town and beach. Perfect place to relax and have a change of scenery.

The cottage was awesome, the location is 100% perfect for the "Sylvan lake" experience!
Unfortunate that the only thing that dampened the vacation was the weather did not cooperate, so we stayed in a lot and the cottage was amazing even for that! Wifi, cable, and heat! The kitchen was great and the dishwasher came in handy! The owner is a great lady and I'm hoping to book the next 10 vacations with her and her cottage. THANK YOU GAYE for the amazing stay!

We were there pretty much to enjoy the beach with our small children. In saying that the location for walking is perfect with children in tow. The cottage is perfect size if you do accept the size of it and don't have too many people. Needs some minor repairs but that is all cosmetics and doesn't effect your time there. The owner Linda pointed out all issues and was very open about it.
