Excellent location. Rooms are a bit outdated, and you hear everything through the walls.

It was too far from the main street. The bed was uncomfortable. The aircon gets warm during the day,the reason is because im in the smoking floor so it takes time for cold air to come up on the 11th floor thats what the staff said to me. The room is outdated and needs renovation.Room vibe feels like the 1990’s

The hotel is located at the back lane, not easy to find and it is a old hotel with old facilities The hotel front staff should reminder the guest if they have serval reservations and alert them the next check in date. communications with the guests should improve In general is fine, walking distance to the popular night spot and shopping areas of Osaka

Lots of positives: - VERY close to the subway station, and close to Dotonbori & Shinsaibashi - fresh towels daily left at the door - vending machine drink vouchers - luggage storage, wifi, radio, alarm, bath tub - very spacious room by Japanese standards

The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.The walls are quite thin too, we could hear a lot of noise from other people.

Location is awesome. 1min from metro station. 15mim from Dotonburi Pillows quite comfortable

According to my record I did not stay in this hotel on this particular date, I already checked out on 9/4 and return back to the hotel on the 10/4, I also did not be informed that I have a reservation and only received a reminder send by Booking.com via email I have a coming reservation on the 9/4 at Himeji Hotel Wing , how can I stay with 2 different hotels on the same night ? I was with Ark Hotel for my trip for many nights, I always double confirmed with the reception my next check in date upon check out, no one inform me I have a room on the 9/4 upon check out. Hence if there is a miscommunication error I would like to have the refund for the credit card payment on 9/4 and any cancellation fee should also waives, I have a nice stay with Ark Hotel and appreciated. Your reply and confirmation is require , Thank you

I liked the room in general. It was fine for what I needed - a little tight, but that is normal for Japanese hotels. I liked that you could open the window to get a bit of a breeze. The water pressure in the shower was great, there were plenty of outlets to charge my various devices, and the hair dryer had good air strength. The hotel entrance is right beside a subway station, has several convenience stores and food options within walking distance, which was all super convenient.

You have to turn in your key every time you leave the hotel and collect it again every time you return, which is fine but gets a bit tedious. Occasionally you can hear talking from the neighboring rooms so the walls aren't 100% soundproof. My biggest annoyance was the washer/dryer machines. If you have the option to wash/dry your things elsewhere before or after your stay here, I recommend you do that. The Ark has two washers and two dryers, but the dryers aren't great. It takes much longer to dry than to wash a single load (something like 40 minutes to wash but 1.5 hours to dry). As a result, there was often a backup of people with a basket of wet clothes just waiting to use the dryer. The first night I was there I decided to just try the next day when I saw this, but it was the same the next day, booth weekdays. I ended up waiting over 3 hours for the dryer after my clothes were already washed - almost 4 hours total, going well into the night. There was no formal system for the line and someone tried to cut in front of me as well. Not a great way to spend an evening.

very clean and complete amenities

Location is the best, just 15 seconds walk to the subway exit. Closed to Shinsaibashi shopping area, even if it's raining you could easily access there through an underground street without getting wet. There is a comics library at the lobby that all guests could read anytime.

The only downside is the room is quite small, but I guess it's quite normal in Japan.

Had to deposit cardkey everytime we went out. No free bottles of water. Only 2 power sockets.

Room was like set in the 1980s, very dated. Too dark because the room had dark brown walls and dark brown duvets. The chairs had black stains on it. The bed was hard and i could feel the springs. Gave me horrible back aches. There were not enough power outlets and charging was super slow. Staff were not helpful. I asked if there was aircon and they said to open the window and i did. It did cool the room but the smell and noise from the alley was just too loud and disgusting that i had to close the window. Since the room was smaller than i expected and my mother had a knee surgery. I didn't want her to knock herself or trip and fall. So i wanted to check if they had a bigger room, one of the female staff said there is but her manager said its not possible to change even if i want to top up the difference. Since the carpet was dark as well, I had to leave the bathroom light on and the desk light for her to see and walk around very slowly at night especially when she needed to use the toilet. They did not clean our rooms even after i had put up the sign to make my room.
