Great hostel. Spotless rooms and kitchen was huge and cleaned daily. Really good social areas and central location. Stayed for 4 nights and would do longer.
The staff weren’t very friendly and a bit grumpy.

4 persondorm with ensuite bathroom was great
No towels for rent and also no sheets, only quilts, which is way to hot for summer

Unclear parking process online, with no description online mentioning that parking is underground below the premises and accessed by a key card once checked in.

The vibe was very nice, exactly like we wanted to be. Friendly and not too noisy. The staff were very friendly and the other guests quite respectful of other people.
The room was clean and neat when we arrived and the location of the hostel was quite convenient. 7 min walking to the beach!

Erg fijne plek en prettig personeel. Voldoende faciliteiten waardoor je verblijf comfortabel is. Een week gebleven en goed van genoten. Systeem met de pasjes werkt goed.

Super hostel très bien situé dans Byron Bay (que ce soit par rapport à la plage, aux bars, à l'arrêt de bus Greyhound, ...) De plus, le personnel est très sympa et les chambre sont tops (les lits sont entourés de rideaux, permettant d'avoir de l'intimité quand on dort).
Très bon hostel je recommande !!

As always YHA didn’t disappoint. The place is spacious, has a nice terrace and work space, big kitchen. And the staff is very friendly.

Das Badezimmer wurde nie geputzt, ich war 8 Nächte in einem Vierbettzimmer mit privatem Badezimmer.

Really good conditions for a hostel. Friendly staff. Excellent location, only 10min walk to the beach and 5min walk to the city center.
19 AU$ for parking overnight (not mention in booking), but you can easily find parking nearby (10min walk from the hostel).

So close to walk to from the bus station and super convenient to the rest of the town too. Breakfast is available onsite which is convenient!
All of the pillows were too high for me and I got a headache from it. The sink in the bathroom was blocked. Luggage storage was not secure enough - just a room near the reception with the door open all day.

Location was great and the communal areas were too near the kitchen and downstairs with lounge room

Very central, great location, staff were friendly.
I asked for bottom bunk due to mobility issues and was told there were none available. When my friend booked in the next night, she had a whole room to herself….
Shampoo, conditioner, etc provided but none in my room for the three days I was there….
It was very dirty. The bins were changed but the floor and bathroom were dirty throughout my stay.

Great location. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Comfortable room. Perfect for families.
The floor needed a clean. It was dusty. We had to wear our thongs inside.

The location is right in the middle of the city therefore, easy to navigate around.

Very clean and spacious property. It was quiet but as we were driving and passing through it was ideal. Secure east to access car parking.

Loved the power points in the lockers, so smart! And the location was perfect, property clean and pleasant.
$110 for a bed in a hostel is on the pricer side but I do understand all prices go up for the splendour weekend.
