Fantastic hotel in amazing grounds - felt like a tropical paradise. Our room had a superb view down to Parga from the balcony. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and freshly cooked omelettes every day on the lovely terrace. The waterfalls within the hotel grounds were lovely and peaceful. The owners Kristina and Vasilis were lovely people and very helpful and interesting to chat to. We also met a lot of other lovely guests too.

If being really picky maybe would have liked a bit more storage for clothes in the room. We had a studio which was big enough for 2 people but there was also a sofa bed (presumably for a third person or child) which took up a lot of space which could have been used for some drawers and a dressing table instead perhaps.

I did not have the breakfast but my partner really enjoyed it on several occasions. The grounds and room were beautiful, relaxing and had stunning views. Unfortunately I was ill on arrival and an ambulance had to be called and I was taken to hospital. The help and care we received from the Filoxenia staff was absolutely wonderful. They phoned for taxis, checked up on us and gave us a lift when a taxi could not be found. They made a truly stressful situation the best it could possibly be. The relaxing beauty of the place made me feel so much better. Any discomfort I experienced in the room was due to my condition, not the room itself.

Probably nobody's fault, but there was confusion over the room I booked. In my initial email I said that we wanted to self-cater, and was told that the studios were self-catering. I therefore booked a studio. When we got in, we found the room (14) was not self-catering. However, staff immediately changed this to room 15 for us. The only thing we found difficult was the use of radios and phones on the outside terrace by the people on either side of us. On one side they played endless YouTube videos at their outside table, on the other music and long phone calls with the other person on loudspeaker. We wonder whether a rule might be made to respectfully ask people not to use phones, radios etc in the shared outdoor areas. The silence of the garden is far preferable.
