Very comfortable and great location near SW Harbor downtown. The back porch is great for morning coffee and evening drinks. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely and well maintained home. Had everything we needed. Beautiful decks were wonderful for relaxing. Southwest Harbor “quietside” area is perfect home base for explorIng the island!

Two friends and I stayed at this cabin for a week. It has a great rustic feeling (but with all the modern conveniences) that you'd want from a cabin at the edge of Acadia. It had everything we needed during our stay. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, flatware, etc. There's plenty of bath towels, sheets and there's even some board games in addition to 2 TVs and wireless internet. The house is extremely clean and well maintained. It's evident the owners take care of it and have owned it for a while because there are a lot of little touches that make it feel special. The wraparound deck is great and has several seating areas. This is a house where you can mingle with your friends but it also provides enough outdoor space so you can find a spot of your own if you want to quietly read a book. One morning I sat outside watching a deer graze in the yard and that was a real treat given that it was no more than 30 feet from me and knew I was there. The location is excellent. Even though it's just a 10 minute walk into town you'd never know it when you're at the cabin because it's so peaceful and quiet. In short, this place is a great find.

There's a huge deck outside where we lounged around while waiting for the food to cook on the grill. The backyard is secluded and is well-shaded and has a large picnic table. The house is located 5 blocks or so from downtown Southwest Harbor which is a lovely town with a fantastic bakery, little grocery store, awesome pizza place, a hip (slightly yuppie) wine bar, and a terrific breakfast place and several other restaurants. We started every morning by walking into town to get coffee of to just smell the salty breeze coming off the harbor. I would without hesitation reccomend this home to anyone vacation on Mt. Desert Island.
