Fully renovated 1940s cottage in Warburton
Questo cottage privato degli anni '40 ha appena avuto una completa ristrutturazione. Le due camere principali hanno letti queen size e c'è una camera per bambini con un letto a castello.
La casa ha anche grandi aree esterne con una terrazza esposta a est che si affaccia sull'Alta Yarra Valley e un patio in pietra con una buca per il fuoco funky.
Warburton è una bella città di montagna con molte opzioni per escursionisti e ciclisti. La casa si trova a 500 metri dal sentiero dell'acquedotto che si snoda attraverso la foresta. Il sentiero ferroviario Warburton - Lilydale è popolare tra le famiglie. I ciclisti più avventurosi possono affrontare Mt Donna Buang, Reefton Spur e Acheron Way.
Warburton ha molti ottimi caffè, negozi unici e una famosa piscina nel centro della città, e ci sono cantine a valle per degustazioni.
La casa si trova sulle pendici inferiori del Monte Donna Buang, che offre giochi di neve e pista per slittini in inverno. Si trova anche a 45 minuti dal centro di sci di fondo a Lake Mountain.
Si prega di notare che ci sono circa 20 gradini verso il basso o su per la casa dai due ingressi. Non è adatto a persone con problemi di mobilità.

This was definitely a nice place to stay. Few issues but it wouldn’t put me of going back, I think it would be a great spot in winter with the inside fire etc. First up the address is Younga Rd not Younga St, hard to find the house when we first arrived. After finding the lock box and sorting keys etc, we got greeted by 100s of ants inside the main door way. Cobwebs everywhere inside like the place hadn't been cleaned before we arrived or maybe long time from the last renters. Dead huntsman in the hallway again with 100s of ants around that. The “20 steps” is very misleading and the slope to the property is ridiculously steep and very hard to get things to and from the car. Mum struggled going in and out to the car for any of our trips (100% do not bring any older people to this property or people with any sort of walking disability).Had to go to the shop & provide our own batteries to work the Aircon system. Again noting that bad that would put me personally off going back to the property. Look forward to another trip in winter. Cheers!

The cottage was very clean and well appointed, however car parking and access to the cottage was a problem as the site is very steep and the vehicles were parked quite a distance from the cottage which made un-packing & packing quite a struggle in the rain. I would not recommend this property for elderly people and the booking site does not give any indication of this situation.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, however more attention needs to be paid to the guest experience. The rate is not cheap, therefore guests expect a certain level of finesse and care. There were a number of issues, in particular:
- filthy pots and pans
- no soap provided in either shower
- no hand towels provided in either bathroom
- not enough kindling provided for the stay (it had been raining leading up and any kindling on the property was wet - no offer was made to bring us a supply)
- firewood provided was too big to burn, no axe obvious to find
- The listing states the accommodation is suitable for children, however we recommend having a highchair available
- Providing a guest handbook is recommended - this was an issue as the mobile reception is not great and we weren't able to access all the guest information online. Iain was really helpful in this particular instance and texted us all the info.
All in all, the location is fantastic, we really enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the country air in a beautiful part of Victoria.
