Friendly staff, good and healthy food, comfy beds, bathtub, the hotel was very cosy.

The dish sizes were just enough, sometimes we had to take dessert bc we were still a bit hungry.

Great location. Very helpful, polite and kind team who did not hesitate to fulfill any of our (special) wishes.

We only stayed for 2 nights, if that would have been longer we would have asked for other pillows on the bed. Ours were very fluffy, but everyone has their personal preference.

We had a wonderful 4-nights stay at Hinter den Spiegeln. The hotel is situated on a side road hence blissful quiet in the night and while enjoying the evening on the terrace with its marvelous view! The rooms in the hotel are each decorated according to a certain theme but not in an intrusive way. We had the Stars room with a big balcony, big enough even for doing a short HIIT training. The breakfast was served everyday according to the wishes we have expressed upon arrival. Pleasant surprise was when after mentioning a vegan diet adjustments to the breakfast were made so they suited this diet. Also we had enjoyed for several evenings the dinner deliciously cooked in house and again with a vegan/vegetarian option for each day. A special thing considering the scarcity of vegan options in Heimbach. Thank you! One other thing to mention is the abundance of books in the common areas so in case of bad weather one would not get bored here. Needless to mention the friendliness of the owner and her staff.

Very friendly, young owners. Beautiful view, great location. Breakfast was prima. Hotel is very much 'Game of Thrones' themed with board games and books everywhere for use/decoration. Facilities were more than adequate and closed garage parking for motorbikes. Recommended

Nice location with a lot of possibilities to relax (in e.g. the garden or on the patio). Lovely decoration in style of Dr. Who, 1001 nights, Star Wars etc. Comfortable beds. The room was older, but renovated, neat and spacy.

In the morning you could hear the shower of the closest room.

Breakfast was very good and very individual. Staff is very friendly and this place is quite unique and extraordinary

The breakfast was excellent including home-made jams. We could make a little selection of what we wanted for breakfast: eggs, ham, cheese, vegetables, fruit, yoghurt and different breads. The hotel staff were fantastic and very welcoming. I truly recommend. Excellent location- supermarket at 5-10 mins walk and shops and restaurants nearby in Heimbach. Lovely routes to go running on the lake. We came bike by from Eupen and the owner even had a garage for us to put our bikes in. There are many nice hikes in the area.
