Lovely setting, good decor & spaces making a welcoming feel, friendly staff, interesting spacious & individualised rooms
On the night I stayed I was woken early & unexpectedly by noisy building work in the next room. The hotel staff apologised for what were emergency works & handled things effectively

Location, & room.
Amazing grounds.
Shower in room 1 didn’t work
Full English breakfast was poor. Dry rubbery bacon, black pudding & sausage was inedible.
For the price there should be a lounge to relax.
One sofa in a small hall/reception area alone is not enough.

Breakfast was very good

The room
Dinner. The first course was reasonable. The main course we had was fish and chips. The cod was utterly tasteless and a few of the chips were not completely cooked
