B&B Magna Grecia

Giovanni was very helpful. We came from Catania due to Etna volcanic activity to fly home. Really great place and beach is close. Giovanni speaks English well.

Close to Lamezia airport by transport from the b&b, which is why we picked it. The room was clean if spartan with a good hot shower.

Sometimes when you get what you pay for, it's not worth the savings. - A continental self-serve breakfast bar with not-fresh croissants placed in a cabinet the night before and a limited choice of packaged juice drinks, milk, yogurt, and bags of chips, cookies and cereals. - A vending machine requiring coins or card for coffee, bottled water and juices. Yes, we got some credit from the host for some badly-needed water for our parched throats after we begged for some. But to have to pay for coffee and water after that struck us as inconvenient. - Once our taxi dropped us off we realized there was nowhere to walk for dinner at night in the rain because we hadn't eaten since the chaos at Catania airport. We asked the host if he could drive us 5 minutes each way and we'd pay him cash because Uber wouldn't come. He grudgingly said OK, but only one way, which would have likely left us in a lurch. So we had to skip dinner. The location is remote.
