Lanka Beach Boutique Bungalows & Grand Villa

Se state cercando una fuga dal caos e dalle località marittime più gettonate, Lanka Beach fa assolutamente al caso vostro! Siamo rimasti incantati da questo resort. Tutto è come dovrebbe essere: il suono delle onde in sottofondo, una piscina vista oceano, spiaggia immensa e deserta. Il bungalow dispone di tutto il necessario (mini-frigo, cassaforte, armadio, phon, aria condizionata) e il letto è molto comodo. Il personale è gentilissimo e attento alla cura della struttura in ogni sua minima parte. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo inconveniente con l'acqua calda nella doccia ma è stato prontamente risolto in pochissime ore. Rispetto alle varie strutture in cui abbiamo soggiornato durante il nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka, qui si ha la possibilità di scegliere la tipologia di colazione che si desidera. Ottima cosa, per variare un po'! Ottimo anche il ristorante.

We booked this last minute. The rooms were really nice & very comfortable. Right on the beach front so gorgeous location. Super quiet area so we decided to have a meal at the hotel & it was delicious. The staff were super friendly & helpful.

Nothing really but the location was a little quiet for us but that is just personal preference rather than anything negative about the hotel.

We stayed here for five nights having done a few nights in budget accommodation as we travelled from Kandy to here. The location isn't really within walking distance of a town (and we are walkers!) which we were worried on arrival would be a problem, but due to the quality of the hotel, it wasn't at all. Our room was actually a bungalow, inclusive of sufficient storage, a good size ensuite and an outdoor shower which was both hot and powerful (although there's nothing quite like being eye-balled by a gecko or small snake when you're starkers under the sky). The bungalow was clean and serviced every day and very peaceful at night (you can hear the waves from the sea!). One of the best things about this accommodation was the food. Although we'd only booked for B&B, we ended up eating here every night because the quality was so good, both the breakfast and the dinner! There are options nearby though (along the beach or track that leads to the hotel). The location of the bungalow gave direct access to a sandy beach. The sand was clean and soft and the beach sparse of people. Local fishermen landed here and tourists often went to help, which was nice! Akin to elsewhere in Sri Lanka, the one downside was the number of dogs but they showed no interest in tourists. It is possible to swim in the sea if you are a confident swimmer. It's lovely to hear the sea from the bungalow and restaurant though!

The pool was actually very good and plenty of cool beers to chill away the later afternoon. The view of the ocean also great when exit the sea side gate. Food at the restaurant was OK but could support a more extensive menu/options especially if staying multiple nights.

During a rain storm, the roof leaked and ended up with a large puddle in the bedroom and water splatter on luggage. Bathroom in dire need of renovation and had to spray for ants on multiple occasions. For some reason one of the lights in the bathroom kept dying. When trying to enter property at sundown, after repeatedly ringing the bell, nobody came, so needed to resort to sliding credit card in the door to push up the lever to open the gate. Getting a tuk tuk into town a nightmare unless book ahead - the road is potholed and unsealed and a bit of a walk to a main road to hail a ride. Over all, the resort requires a serious do over to bring up the amenities which are aging.
