What an absolute delight this property is - and also the owners! It is possibly my favourite ever holiday accommodation. Communication with the owner, Tea, was excellent from the outset and she kindly agreed to meet us at the bus station to take us to the house. Tea arrived with her husband who spoke more English and who was also delightful. He explained some of the history of Matera and places of interest. He carried our cases to the house for us. What a beautiful property with excellent facilities and a wonderful outside area for the most perfect evenings. It is about a 3 minute walk to the main Duomo Square with stunning views of Matera - especially of an evening! The fridge was stocked with water and breakfast provisions - ham, cheese, yogurts, juice, fresh bread and fresh milk! There were biscuits, jam and plenty of tea and coffee. It was spacious, spotless and so comfortable - even better than the photos suggest. It was just perfect. Tea arranged a taxi back to the station for us and she and her husband arrived on the day we were leaving to carry our bags back to the taxi. Such a kind thing to do. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to Matera - which we hope to do! Thank you Tea and your wonderful husband for a perfect stay and for going above and beyond what was expected.

The only tiny thing - and it is a totally, tiny, personal thing - is that we would have liked an electric kettle to boil water for tea in the morning. I know that sounds so British, but that's just me. We managed with the gas stove and a pan from the cupboard. It in no way detracts from the perfect stay that we had here :)

We loved everything about this accommodation from the excellent communication with the host to the beautiful property itself. Tea went above and beyond to make the stay perfect from quick communication to collecting us from the bus station and arranging our taxi back. The house itself was perfect, with everything we could need, and more! Perfectly located - just a few steps from Via Duomo. The rooms were spotless, the shower fantastic and the beds so comfortable. Everything had been thought of by the host, including milk in the fridge for the English cuppa! Seriously, you can't go wrong if you book this property! We will return to Matera - the most magical city, and this most magical property! Thank you so much Tea
