the breakfast was amazing, there were several options available and the team was always exceptionally friendly and helpful! the rooms were insanely clean and modern and the were complementary beverages for the guests. we also got great recommendations for places to have dinner!

Staff was very nice and assisted in getting to the hotel and back to the airport. The hotel is as cute as it looks on the pictures, we used a room with 3 persons. This was a little tight, but doable. Breakfast was great. Beach towels are available on request. Location is superb, in the middle of the old town part.

On day one we had no idea how the breakfast set up was. We were served bread, jams, juices and fruit. Which seemed diisappointing. But later, the personnel stopped by to ask what hot drink and warm breakfast we wanted. Should have been a little more patient … it is Portugal after all.

Our room felt very small with the sofa bed open. With two adults and two kids we had a hard time moving around.

I had a strange experience with management/the administration end of things, which negatively impacted my overall experience, even though I liked the hotel itself. Originally I had booked a standard twin room on a B&B package and asked for a 'quiet room if possible'; the hotel wrote back indicating that what I had booked was the opposite of this and if I wanted a quiet room I needed to upgrade to a room with a balcony or terrace, and the cost would be 5 Euro per night. I agreed to this (it did seem like surprisingly good deal...I now realize), and the reservation was changed to a twin with balcony, including breakfast (I have the confirmation). At check-in there seemed to be some confusion about breakfast, but then they said it was OK. I subsequently received an updated Booking.com confirmation email on my first evening with no message/explanation, so I did not know what it was for. However the next morning when I came down for breakfast (which I thought was included), the server had to inform me that actually it was no longer included, with no further explanation. This was very awkward for both him and I, with other tourists looking at us. He kindly provided me with some fruit and toast for 'that day only'. Clearly this must have been an error during the booking stage, where I was under-quoted a price for the room upgrade, but it was bizarre that the hotel did not simply message me to acknowledge the error/misunderstanding and tell me the updated cost - this was confusing and felt disrespectful. I have worked (and stayed) in hotels my entire life, and have never encountered anything like this. I would have been happy to pay for breakfast, if they had taken the time to explain the situation. The funny thing is, I had forgotten about the breakfast thing, but then the night before I checked out I received a WhatsApp message to 'remind me' of the check-out time.

this is a beautiful quirky small hotel in a superb location, right in the centre of town room was clean, and I liked the little sun terrace.

the noise from the restaurant/ bar nearby made it difficult to fall asleep

The lack of privacy in the toilets, the first had a bathtub which was very uncomfortable, the room was full of mosquitoes I did not sleep 2 nights in a row they gave us another room but the problem was the same, the rooms are also too small, pillows too hard, I paid almost 600€ for not being able to sleep and rest. we left without refund. Never again.
