They were very understanding of food allergies and when we needed to leave early they were accommodating and moved breakfast forward :)

The half-board dinner and breakfast were amazing and really filling with fresh ingredients used, and the staff also offers rice refills if the provided amount isn't enough. There were also two onsens to choose from, which are occupied on a room basis, which is very helpful for those who are not comfortable with using public onsens with strangers. The staff knew a bit of English and had hand-held translators for helping with more complicated expressions. I also noticed a lot of attention to detail for our comfort: - The staff personally saw us to our room and briefed us on some typical ryokan etiquette - There was already hot drinking water prepared in a flask when we arrived (no need to wait for it to boil) - A separate pair of slippers to use in the bathroom was already provided inside - The futons were already set up beforehand - On check out day, our shoes were already placed at the front (no need to look for our shoes in the rack)

The private onsen / shower area is outdoors, and there were blinds along the glass windows which acted as dividers, but the blinds were still relatively see-through (something to note if privacy is a concern). The door right beside the glass windows was also mainly glass, but there was no provided way to cover it up for some privacy when bathing.

Dinner is very delicious and plentiful

No private bathroom and need to have shower at the onsen.

Very good variety of local food (Variety of Locally Fished Sashimi, Kinmedai Shabu Shabu, and other Local Dishes), in the breakfast we have an Aji no HIraki to be pan grilled on the table and other local Japanese small dishes. You can have the hot spring exclusive to you without additional charge which is a real plus for a hot spring aficionado. The room is simple and clean.

There are unexpected visitors in the room. (bugs) My mother got rid of 3 small centipedes and a medium-sized spider. My mother complained to the staff however little has been done which is a negative mark to the excellent service they do.

Food is amazing.

Our door was broken, water pressure in room was so bad we couldn't use sink well.

The staff and the food and onsens were beyond compare. The views are lovely. Honestly the food is amazing. See pics.

The rooms are a bit dated. And the beds are futons. But honestly they are hard to sleep on. My back was killing me the first night.
