The staff were excellent and the hotel was in a great location for day trips in the National Park.

THE VIEW, the room view was my favorite part, totally worth it!! The kaseki dinner and breakfast were great, many options, many dishes. I enjoyed the hotsprings also.
I went with a friend and we had a great time, also used the yukatas for free.
The staff were all super kind!
They have washing machines.
We could see that the building is a bit old and it can be tricky to go up the stairs, sinde there is no elevator, but they mention that so we already knew that.

Perfect stay! Very friendly and helpful staff, they speak English perfectly. You should definitely book dinner, because it's traditional, the food is gorgeous. Hotel is conveniently located near bus stop, it takes about 50 min from Nikko Tobu station. Also you can get by bus or on foot to some beautiful nature spots from here. Right near the hotel you can get on cruise boat on the lake
And the hotel had it's own onsen, felt so good in the cool weather.
I liked everything, will recommend it.

Very good dinner, also for Vegetarian, which is unfortunately not normal in Japan I have learnt. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Location is also very nice because it‘s directly at the sea. However, guests should be aware that is more than half an Hour by Bus to go for the temples in Nikko.
The smell in the bathroom was not so nice, maybe it depended on the heavy rain
