Friendly staff / hostess. The bedroom was very fine for me as a single traveller. May have been a little cosy for two. Location was very central so great for exploring, and free parking just down the road overnight, from 8:00 pm to 9:00 am, you can pay €1.20 to park for an hour and a half which covers before and after free parking. There are plenty of paid parking spaces in underground car parks whilst waiting for the local spaces to become available.
Durango has a typical Basque approach to commuting where cars, buses, bikes and pedestrians have to navigate around each other and has many one way streets. As a result it would be really helpful to have better upfront information about how and when best to approach the hotel and where to park. The coffee machine wasn't working which was a shame and I'm sure will be fixed before anyone else gets there. I'd definitely go back as I understand the parking now and the coffee was just an inconvenience.
