Family Friendly Historic Shotgun in Walkable Lower Garden District
Situato nello storico quartiere inferiore del giardino, in un quartiere residenziale sicuro ed eclettico. Si trova a circa 2 miglia / 15 minuti dal quartiere francese ea 12 miglia / 25 minuti dall'aeroporto Louis Armstrong. Manteniamo tutto comodo, accogliente e pulito. Dopo un'esplorazione di un'intera giornata a New Orleans, tornerai a casa dove potrai davvero rilassarti e rigenerarti per il giorno successivo.
La nostra casa è stata originariamente costruita nel 1919 con molti dettagli storici mantenuti intatti dalla sua ristrutturazione. È un tipo di duplex a due indirizzi con un layout chiamato "Shotgun" in stile casa a New Orleans, chiamato anche ferrovia o appartamento di passaggio in altre regioni. È stato recentemente rinnovato e presenta soffitti da 12 piedi, modanature a corona, pavimenti in legno originali, caminetti e mensole in mattoni originali, porte a scomparsa originali, grandi finestre e persiane a piantagione. Dalla veranda si può vedere la torre di San Mary's Assumption Church, e senti le campane suonare ogni ora in lontananza.
Una volta dentro, goditi un salotto con intrattenimento in streaming su richiesta, cucina completa, spazi per uffici, 2 camere da letto con letti queen size, 2 bagni completi, WiFi, aria condizionata centralizzata e riscaldamento. Puoi riposare tranquillamente di notte sapendo che la struttura dispone di 5 telecamere di sorveglianza esterne, sensori su tutte le porte e finestre, rilevatore di movimento interno e servizio di monitoraggio 24 ore su 24, nonché un servizio di controllo dei parassiti mensile.

This might be the best home I've ever rented for vacation. Some things others should know: 1. The house is much closer to the FQ than a map would reveal. That being said, its not within walking distance. 2. Walmart is a 3 minute drive (maps say otherwise). However, the only things you'd need would be food or something on a personal level, Iwona provides A LOT more than the bare necessities. I suggest don't bring anything extra (like toilet paper, tin foil, coffee, laundry supplies) until you inspect the home to see what she already has available for use. 3. The home has 'green cards' throughout. Each instructs the renter succinctly on how to operate her home (such as lights, locks, dishwasher, etc) or informs you of expectations and explains why. Example: theres a 'live moss' picture (its so cool!) hanging high enough that small children could never reach it. The green card on the picture explains you cannot touch it or it will die. The green cards are extremely efficient and make your stay much more enjoyable as you are never left to wonder 'what if I' or 'how'. 4. White noise machines are in each bedroom. 5. The back yard is a secure, private haven. You can be out there at any hour talking and laughing with no issue. She only expects renters not to be excessively loud (screaming, music at the highest volume, etc).If you're lucky, you'll meet Matilda, the cutest dog in New Orleans! If you want comfort and clean, this is the place.

We had such an amazing stay at this beautiful New Orleans shotgun house! The location was perfect—just a quick 5-minute walk to the Garden District, but tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood which we really appreciated after busy days exploring.The home itself was exactly what you picture when you think of a classic New Orleans shotgun house—charming, stylish, and full of character. It was also incredibly well stocked with everything we needed, which made our stay so comfortable.The host was absolutely incredible—super responsive, helpful, and made everything seamless from start to finish.We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans!

Made a last minute decision to book a trip with my husband, 5, 8, & 9 year old to New Orleans. It ended up being one of our best trips! Ilona & Kirk were wonderful, their place is about two blocks from Magazine st.. tons of shopping, eating (including the best Ice Cream Shop!), and right next to the Garden District. The house was fully stocked. First VRBO we stayed in and they had EVERYTHING! It was a great check in, we even checked in pretty late. It was clean, cozy, had great windows with tons of light, and had all the TV amenities. The front porch was great in the evening to wind down. There was a great park for the kids a couple blocks away. I could go on and on! Definitely keeping this house saved for future trips to NOLA! Thank you Iwona & Kirk for such a great experience:)
