The Honeymoon Suite was terrific - lots of space, well equipped, full kitchen, amazing views and wrap-around deck with a nice breeze most of the time. Sunset cocktails on the roof-top deck were a daily ritual. Parrot and parakeet fly-bys enjoyed too.
Joey was a great host - very helpful and informative. Location was great & as advertised. Mostly away from the loud evening/night-time music in Tamarindo town and a reasonably short walk down the backside hill trail and on into the town centre and the beach.
Really enjoyed the social aspect of the shared pool and bar area - met some great new friends. All great!

Casa Bambora is a beautiful property with magnificent views in every direction. It’s an easy walk to beaches, restaurants and shops. Joey was a wonderful host. We can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I had a great time at Casa Bombora! The studio exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed. Joe was a fantastic host. He was always there if we needed something. He gave us some great suggestions like Taco Tuesdays at Little Luchia ❤️. The distance to town and the beach were great. We loved watching the beautiful sunsets on the rooftop deck each night! It was hard to leave this paradise! We’re already trying to figure out when we can return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Bambora and - consistent with other reviews - Joey is a great host. The location seems isolated - and for purposes of noise it is - but you're only a short walk from the main street in town and there's even a shortcut trail making access even easier. My husband/son arrived first and I joined 2 days later. Their first impression was that we were far away from everything and needed a car but that wasn't the case at all; town is a short 10-15 min walk away. The room has everything you'd need and the views are amazing. Joey is extremely responsive and very helpful. Highly recommend and will stay here again hopefully very soon.

Our suite was a gorgeous open concept with plenty of windows looking out on the water and the neighbouring hills of Tamarindo. The property is cozy and well-maintained by Joseph, who is on hand throughout the day and easy to access. It is clean and features a pool and outdoor cooking area with both a barbecue and range, which is open to any of the guests. We used it twice to supplement cooking we were doing in the suite.
The suite itself is well outfitted for cooking with all the utensils and cookware needed.
There is a rooftop seating area which affords a great, 360 degree view of the area, and is perfect for catching the sunset after a day at the beach.
The property is a few blocks from the town centre, but there is a quick walking shortcut into town, which places the property about 15 minutes on foot from the main beach in Tamarindo. We made the trip multiple times a day without issue.
Check in and check out was incredibly easy, with no elaborate process. Show up, grab your keys, leave them when you go.
All in all, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Tamarindo.

Large, clean suite with wrap-around decks and ocean views. Comfortable with A/C and fans, and enjoyed the sit-at counter off the kitchen. Easy to get to town/beach and Host Joey is a long time ex-pat with considerable knowledge of the area.

Joey was a great host. He's created a very chill vibe with his property, provided many great recommendations for food. The location is perched atop a hill with great views and just a short hike down the hill to the main hub and beach. The "honeymoon suite" was a great setup with lots of space, a full kitchen, was private with an amazing wrap around balcony.
We'll be going back to Tamarindo and staying here again in the future!

It is a little paradise 5min drive from the beach. Everything was perfect. Joey (owner) is friendly and keeps the the whole place, rooms, pool etc immaculate. The viewing roof terrace is stunning. Will recommend and be returning.

Joseph was an incredible host who was quick to respond and always full of helpful tips while we were traveling in Costa Rica. Our room was clean, comfortable and very safe. We were SUPER close to everything downtown and walked everywhere. It is a beautiful city and we enjoyed our time significantly!

The property is very well maintained with great views of the ocean and forest. Beautiful property with lots of trees and plants. Short walk to downtown but far enough to get away from the craziness. Tamarindo in Aug.
Great experience. Stayed for a month to get some work done remotely. Joey was very nice and helpful with anything I needed. Short walk to downtown. Sunsets were great. Good WiFi, had multiple video conference calls with no issues. Honeymoon Suite had plenty of privacy and was quite. Great stay! Got a lot of work done, ate great food, and saw a lot.

Great Place to Stay!
Joey is an excellent host, He is very hands on in his approach and his place is nestled into the hilltop with amazing views of the Ocean. Our place was very clean and exactly like the pictures on the website. I will stay there again when I come back as everything worked out great. the dogs are also a great friendS to have on the property!

The property is situated nicely. A short 10 minute walk into town/the beach via the shortcut “nature trail”. It had everything we needed. Would recommend and stay again.

Great location and views
We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect. Close enough to walk to beach but away from crowds and noise. It is a quick walk to town (via shortcut) and cabs were easy to find (and reasonable) if you don't feel like walking back up the hill.The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of storage space. Views were fabulous from our unit and we enjoyed sitting outside on the deck. If we return to Tamarindo it would be on the top of our list.

The apartment was spotless and very spacious. It had everything we needed for cooking indoors and outside next to the pool. The landscaping on the property is impeccable and is tended to very carefully. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and had spectacular views from morning till night!
The nature trail is just that, but pretty rustic. Definately need a light to go up and down in the evening and wouldn't be recommended if you have mobility issues. The trail can be pretty slippery but as long as you're paying attention you will be just fine.
I can't say enough about this place. It was so relaxing and we can't wait to come back! Thanks Joey for the great stay!

Casa Bambora had an excellent location where you could walk down a path and be downtown in 6 minutes. Joey and his staff were exceptional and we look forward to our return.

Fabulous vacation
Our room was well kept and very clean upon our arrival. The pool/plants/trees/view/pets/location and the recycling 🙌�🏻� were all fantastic. And of course Joey made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to return one day!
