I was excited to stay at the house with family for my upcoming wedding. The staff were super helpful at first, and accommodated parking for us due to the small space available.
I was so disappointed with the house. Mouse poop literally everywhere, in beds, cabinets, bathrooms. There would be mouse poop on your things the next day. The AC was locked, and we weren’t able to change it until the code was texted to us the next day. It was almost 80 degrees in the house. Dust everywhere and not clean at all. Parts of the house are broken, so be sure to list those on your survey so you don’t get charged.
I cannot emphasize enough how dirty everything was. Will not be staying on Fripp again.

Overall we loved the townhouse and plan to return again next year. There was a slight issue with one of the upstairs bedrooms which we addressed immediately. It was probably overlooked during the cleaning process. The kitchen is large, was well stocked with all necessities except a working can opener and pot holders which I also addressed. We loved the extra ice maker in addition to refrigerator ice maker but unfortunately it quit working during our stay, as did the toaster. Hopefully it will be replaced because it was definitely an asset. The home is roomy, comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms were all adequate. We love the location as it is close to everything. The large dining table and extra chairs was definitely a plus for our group of 14 to dine together and enjoy evening card games together. Our group was delighted with the beach chairs and bicycles so we didn’t bring ours from home.
The extra 12.8% the resort is now adding to the overall booking fee in addition to paying for each amenity card & golf cart which is sometimes included in the quoted price when booking thru the resort causes the renters to really compare what really is the better deal. After booking many years thru the resort, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to book thru VRBO and having face contact with Barry was a personal touch and added benefit. So again I say we were completely satisfied and look forward to booking again.

The property was perfectly suited for our family of 15 with plenty of bedrooms and baths. The living area was large and comfortable and the sunroom provides additional seating. The kitchen was very spacious. From our screen porch we saw deer, cranes and an alligator. Would enjoy staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay.
The house is nice BUT we had several issues.
1.When it rains, water leaks from the ceiling onto the mater bed onto the pillows. 2. Entry Door handle falls off. 3. Bathroom toilet paper holder barely holds onto the roll. 4. Toaster did not have handles so it was difficult to use. 5. No oven mits we’re provided to remove hot items from oven.

The island is beautiful!! The house is beautiful!! We had a great time together and would definitely return.
The house just needs some minor upkeep. Upstairs a fan can’t be used because it is very unstable. The railing on the stairs is wobbly. A couple of the bathroom locks don’t work correctly. The toilet in one of the bathrooms is unstable and the handle leaks water. Another toilet just constantly has the sound of running water. Those things just require the owner to take some time to make some minor repairs. But the biggest complaint of anyone in our group was that it needs some deep cleaning. To run your finger over bunk bed slats and fan blades, baseboards and doors, it has buildup. The tile in the kitchen has dirty buildup in the grout. And the grill was absolutely filthy. Not to mention it didn’t have any gas to be able to use it. This was disappointing because it says it has a grill and we packed food and planned a meal around that, and couldn’t use it.
I hope the owners will just take some time to deep clean and make minor repairs. Because we had a great time and would stay again if so!!

Stay at Fripp every year for a small group golf trip. This house was the best in the last 5 years.
No kids on the trip so we don’t need bunk beds. We look for houses based on the number of Queen/King beds and bathrooms.
Everything was as advertised and we will be back.

This year was our second time at this same location, but the first time was before it was renovated. We were very happy with the updates. Barry was a dream to work with and took our concern about the wifi not working seriously. He came to the house with the technician. There are MANY beach chairs in the garage. We didn't use the bikes, but they were there as well. The beds slept well. A couple of them were sinking in the middle a bit so people rolled into the middle, but nothing unbearable. The house was cleaner than many, but not the cleanest it could've been, especially the floors. However, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Confortable home
Beautiful home, very comfortable for a big family dice it has lots of beds. Even had a play kitchen for my toddler to be entertained. We saw many deers approach the back patio which was a very nice experience to see them up close.

As we enjoyed our stay at this vacation home, there were some issues we ran into during our stay. Listed below are the issues we had.
We had major issues with the Wi-Fi. Many had issues connecting to the Wi-Fi on there phones and TVs. The TVs that did work many apps required a code. No cable.
Upstairs AC thermostat locked and required a code. So it was set to one temperature and those who stayed upstairs were hot. I was told that the thermostat is set between (71-78) so it will not freeze out the unit. However we were able to set the downstairs thermostat to 68. And I'm sure we all would agree that in the summer time (71-78) is warm.
The room with the two bunks and a twin bed, there was found a kids sock, cracker wrapper, and orange peels on the side of one of the bunks. I was told that a cleaning service would've come out to clean, but by then we were already moved in and did our own cleaning. We feel as though the home wasn’t cleaned by the cleaning crew that you have. I feel like a reimbursement should be offered because we had to do our own cleaning.
Also the draw under the stove was very dirty. It seemed as if it had not been cleaned in months.
We washed our clothes in the washing machine only to find out that the dryer didn’t work. So we had to go home with a bag full of wet laundry.
The home was nice, big and accommodated everyone.

A more careful cleaning would make the house even better looking. Overall it wasn't dirty, just dust here and there around the corners. The bedding was clean, except one set of sheets that had stains on. Despite the small details which can easily be fixed, I would recommend this property and hope to return one day.

Great house for a big family!
We really enjoyed the house and felt it was spacious enough for our big family of 14. The kitchen was well stocked and it was very fun to see all the dear outside from the screened in porch and Carolina room. The separate apartment was perfect for my sister and her toddler who needed more space and woke up earlier than other family members. Several things in the house were broken - the main door lock, several kitchen cabinet fronts, the beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage, and there were hot water issues in most of the bathrooms unfortunately. It was also very hard to navigate the gigantic potholes on Wahoo Drive so we almost always went the longer route on the next street. Overall, a terrific experience, some repairs would definitely make the house even better!

Fabulous Vacation
My family and I loved our stay on Fripp Island, and this house was perfect for our large group of 20. The young girls had fun in their bedroom with the bunks, and even made use of the trundle bed. There was plenty of room in the house to relax and hang out, and the view from the sun room and the back porch was fabulous. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware and small appliances. The adults staying in the upstairs queen bedrooms had to walk through a bunk room to get to their room, but that did not seem to bother anyone. ____There are a few areas of the house that could use some attention. There were multiple light bulbs burned out, some door and dresser knobs broken off, and a broken drawer in the fridge. In no way did these items affect our stay, but they are details that could be looked into.____We realized that the garage outlet closest to the road did not work when our electric golf cart did not charge overnight. The second outlet in the garage does work though.____If anyone is planning on staying at this beautiful house, I would recommend that you bring your own shampoo, conditioner, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, plus dish cloths and kitchen towels. A limited amount of these items are supplied, but we ran out very quickly. When we called Barry to mention this, he sent someone with more supplies to tide us over until we could get to a store. ____I cannot say enough good things about Barry and his staff. Barry answered or returned multiple phone calls from me and very efficiently took care of all our needs. He was always pleasant to talk to and even did research on dolphin tours when I asked about them. When we decided at the last minute to get golf carts, Barry worked to find us some.____We had a super time checking out the island on our golf carts and spending time at the beach. It was truly a memorable vacation.

Our group of 14 really enjoyed this condo. The kitchen was huge, the carpets were brand new and there was more than enough room in the bedrooms and living areas. The king suite above the garage was an awesome little get away when the main house got loud. Being located on a quiet road but walking distance to the beach and right on the golf course was the best of all worlds. The property managers were extremely responsive and helpful. The garage was full of beach chairs, boogie boards and bikes. We would definitely stay here again!

Thanksgiving with all my family!
This is a great place to stay at with plenty of space for multiple families. The island offers lot of activities for all ages so there is plenty to do. Early morning sun rise and late afternoon sun sets were amazing. Plenty of deer to take pictures of even up close. I would recommend renting a golf cart from the marina, reasonable pricing. Struggled with the wifi but Barry accommodated us and things were fine. I would definitely stay here again.

Please be aware that this is a townhouse and not a freestanding home as the title of the listing calls it and several places in the description. Only one place in listing refers to it as a town home so want to make sure future guests realize! The location is nice...view of the golf course from a very small outdoor porch that has very worn out and uncomfortable furniture on it (cushions on couch are very worn out and thin). Loved watching the deer and alligator in pond and a 6 minute walk to beach. Great location on the island. The street the townhouse is on however had HUGE holes in the gravel street for about 60 feet. Very odd for an island you need a pass to come on and have to buy an amenity card for certain activities on the island. Great sleeping space for our large group and beautiful suite above the garage but that space had a very musty smell. The common space was nice but the chairs around the dining table ...where we sat often for games and to hang out with those in the living space....were very uncomfortable.. the beds were all comfortable and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The rental company was VERY responsive when three out of the 5 bikes had flats or chains off. They offered for us to be reimbursed for renting other bikes when two couldn't be fixed. Would have thought those would have been checked in between renters! Walking in the gate is your first impression and it's not a good one...trash area is very overgrown and dirty, the door leading into the home needs TLC and the screened porch needs a lot of TLC (cleaning, painting). They had a great supply of chairs and beach toys but should be cleared out and sprayed down because broken boogie boards, broken buckets, flat floats (bring a pump with you if plan to use those). Again a great supply but was frustrating when have to weed through dirty items and broken ones. Kitchen has all the appliances you would need (including crockpot, huge ice maker and griddle!) but needs potholders and tea towels. Would recommend this beautiful TOWNHOUSE once some TLC was given to the outside ...but again so appreciate the rental company's quick response to all our concerns!

Big accommodating home.
Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was one of the best equipped we have ever had. Our only issue is that the property didn't feel as clean as it should. Areas like light fixtures and vents could have been cleaned better. We did bring this up to the PM and he did offer to send his crew back out but we had already moved in for the week.

House needs paint and powder
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach. I did not realize that the upstairs bedrooms were connected. It worked but was not preferred. Maybe think the bunk bed rooms should be in the back since the kids went to bed first. The house definitely needs painting and some super clean up as far as walls and baseboards go. Wish it had a working vacuum cleaner as well. We were there for a week and a little cleaning would have helped mid week. Space was enough for our crowd but parking was a bit tricky. We loved, loved, loved the beach and the ease to get there. Thanks so much. Also had to use all of OUR passwords to get TV's to work, that needs to be addressed since the house said it had cable. Instructions should be laminated and in the house. Also the upstairs was hot. Asked for the code to be able to turn it down, got no response on that one.

Awesome home/lots to do/lots to see
This was our first trip to Fripp Island. We had three generations in this wonderful house, right on the golf course. From the nine year old to the seventy-one year old, we had plenty to do without ever leaving the Island. Activities at the Club, Wildlife Center, Park, etc. kept everyone busy and food was always available at several locations. We all enjoyed seeing the deer everywhere and the kids were facinated by the alligators. The two bunk rooms in the house was ideal for or family. There was plenty of eating space and a well supplied kitchen made cooking a breeze. Every aspect of the house was comfortable and well laid out. The owners have anticipated every need. We loved our stay and will be back to experience more of Fripp Island and all it offers.
