This home is even more beautiful than the photos expressed. Warm woodwork throughout, still with vintage built ins, spacious bedrooms for this era of home, a very comfortable king bed (and I am the princess and the pea picky), lots of thoughtful details including many hooks on the wall as you enter the front door, nicely appointed kitchen, and a mud/laundry as you enter in back for tidying yourself or wiping wet paws. We most certainly will look for the availability of this home again if we are invited back! Thank you to our hosts, and to their wonderful house cleaner who keeps it perfect. 🙏

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I spent a wonderful 3 days in McMinnville, enjoying wineries and eateries, and friendliness of the town. The house was clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable for the four of us. We would stay here again if we get back to the Willamette Valley!

Great for visits to wine country. We had zero issues with the home. Property was as described with excellent location. The main selling point for us was the close proximity to all the dining options in McMinnville. It was nice after a day of wine tasting to have so many walking distance (5 minutes) dinner options after our tour company dropped us off at the end of day.

Had a wonderful stay at Cowls Bungalow. I’ve rented many VRBO properties, and our time here might have been the best experience ever. The house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need – soaps, paper goods, even bubble wrap to pack our wine glasses. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated spaces and comfort of the furniture and beds. The location can’t be beat as the restaurants, coffee shop, and stores are only a few steps away. Really hoping to find time in our schedules for a much longer stay in McMinnville, and we will only make the trip if Cowls Bungalow can house us.

We were visiting friends/family in McMinnville. Aside from being clean an d comfortable, I felt immediately at home because the bungalow strongly resembled my grandmother's home in Pasadena, CA, built circa 1910-1920. We will certainly stay here again!

Stayed here for a birthday celebration/wine tasting weekend. The location was perfect. Easy walk to many delicious restaurants, great coffee & pastries, wine tasting and a cute grocer. The home had everything we needed as well as very comfortable beds, which is always a plus! As others have mentioned, the master bathroom was a bit tight, and could use a space to store toiletries, but it wouldn’t deter me from staying here again for a weekend!

We were visiting our daughter and husband in the area, and for the most part just used the home to sleep. Home was very comfortable and well appointed. If we were to return again, this would surely be top on our list to stay once again.

This is an adorable 2 bedroom house - close to 3rd street. Easy walk to restaurants. Driveway parking for 1 car was nice.
Beds were comfy, lots of towels! House is older, lots of cute historic designs, with updated kitchen & bathrooms.
Outdoor setting looked great - we did not get to use it much due to the rain. Will definitely look to rent again when in McMinnville.

Recently stayed here with my husband and our friends. A two bedroom, and two bathrooms set up was perfect for four people. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and super clean. The master bathroom was tiny but efficient. The decor of the house was clean and updated but the original charm was still present. It was an easy walk from the house to everything we wanted to see and do in McMinnville. Highly recommend this place.

Our family enjoyed staying in this home immensely. House is adorable, beds comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, outdoor space is lovely, fenced, and private. With dogs, the fenced in yard is very practical as well. Walkability score is off the charts. Very short walk to downtown McMinnville restaurants, shops, and galleries, and longer walk or very short drive to Linfield University campus. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet and beautiful to walk in as well.

We stayed at this lovely property for a wedding. Checking in was easy and any questions I had were promptly answered. The home is so quaint, clean and has everything one could need. The living room is perfect for hanging in the morning with coffee. Leaving creamer in the fridge was a bonus we didn’t expect. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean with plenty of thick towels, which is a plus for me. It’s a very easy walk downtown. I highly recommend this property for a short or long stay in the cute town of McMinneville.

My husband and I booked this vacation to celebrate our anniversary and then ended up adding an extra night because we loved it so much. The home is beautiful, clean and quiet. The porch is spacious and kept us cool on hot days. The kitchen was tidy and well stocked with cooking utensils/everything we needed to cook a few meals ourselves. The air conditioning worked well and there is a large tub in the guest shower. We were able to walk to 3rd street (just 2 blocks away) to go out to eat, get drinks, go to the local grocery store. We could also walk to many large parks, including one with tennis and pickleball courts. It was a lovely vacation and I would highly recommend staying there.

I cannot rave enough about this rental. It's a beautiful period house, well-outfitted and perfectly located to enjoy the best of McMinnville. The bed is super comfortable, as are the living areas. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a complete meal (but with so many good restaurants in walking distance you probably won't).
Thanks also to the owners for a historic preservation success story, with a tasteful renovation that kept this classic American home intact and contributing to a charming town.
