The lakeside location and beautiful views were brilliant and meant we were in the centre of Como but not mixed up in the hurly burly of what is a very busy resort. The hotel has a “belle epoch” interior and is old school grand. Staffing and service are very traditional and of a very high standard. The whole place is immaculately clean and tidy. The views from the substantial balcony terrace were wonderful and provided a quiet spot at the end of the day.
Whilst breakfast was substantial and very high quality we found the evening menu a little disappointing and expensive. There are better places nearby. One thing that’s not the hotel’s fault but be prepared the mosquitoes on Lake Como are huge and hungry and numerous. Go prepared.

Location
Average hotel for higher end prices . We have stayed in Verona and Lake Garda on this trip and both hotels had superior service .
