Hotel Pinos Playa

This is a lovely cute little hotel with lovely staff and wonderful views. We had half board, the buffet food is very good, freshly cooked and healthy. The only negative for this hotel is the walls are paper thin which makes it difficult to sleep well there, a lot of door banging!!

Lovely simple comfortable room with a view of the sea (side view room) where you can hear the waves /sea against the rocks which was very relaxing. Staff very friendly. There is a bar by the pool which we did not over look in this room but that holds music etc in the evenings. Location was excellent Cala santanyi is spectacular. We drove to a nearby town for most meals.

Breakfast was very tailored to certain countries and I wouldn’t have it again. No decaffeinated coffee either. However our stay was wonderful otherwise. There’s a lovey cafe opposite for breakfast.

The location itself was gorgeous, which is why it’s so disappointing that our experience with the staff was so unpleasant. Patricia at the front desk spoke to my friends and me in a way I’ve genuinely never experienced at a hotel. She was incredibly condescending and repeatedly spoke to us as if we were children. Even when I asked for something as simple as extra towels, I was scolded rather than simply helped. It was honestly a very bizarre and uncomfortable experience. What made it even more disappointing was observing how differently other guests were spoken to and treated compared to us. We did not feel like we were being given the same level of courtesy or respect, and the difference was noticeable. The gentleman working at the front desk was the one exception - he was kind, helpful, and treated us with respect. It’s unfortunate because the property and location are beautiful, and I would absolutely consider staying here again if the guest experience matched the setting. Unfortunately, based on the way we were treated, I would not return unless there were changes to the front desk staff and the way guests are spoken to.
