We particularly appreciated the young guy on reception's enthusiasm to speak English - after we'd done our stumbling introductions in French!
The room was simple, adequately sized and comfortable.
The hotel's location is spectacular, being surrounded by majestic mountains. Sunset and sunrise were stunning.
The breakfast and evening meal were nourishing, but not particularly inspired.
The breakfast lacked any hot food: we don't expect a full english everywhere, but some eggs, for example, would be very welcome.
We were a little surprised when the bar closed almost immediately after supper! We weren't planning on partying into the wee small hours, but it is nice to relax with a drink after supper.

Meals are an excellent value. Rooms are comfortable and nice bar terrace to enjoy surroundings

We liked it so much, we booked the room again for our return tour of the Pyrenees. Room was spacious, shower superb, bed comfy, swimming pool and Jacuzzi brilliant, staff really friendly and great service. Loved to secure garage parking for our motorcycle although I would have been happy to lock it up in the car park if the garage was not available.

The restaurant staff were friendly.
The hotel is understaffed. The receptionist was curt and not particularly helpful. On the other hand the restaurant staff were friendly. However, the dinner menu provided no choice and the fish was over cooked.
