I wished there was creamer but everything was great! Comfy amenities, felt like it was all to ourselves. Coffee on the little patio was great.

We enjoyed our stay at John and Deena's property! For myself, my husband, and my one year old, it was the perfect size for us for a week. Highlights were enjoying the pool, beautiful yard, and mountain views. We also loved the tv projector in the unit! And you can't beat the location - close to all Pasadena has to offer and a reasonable drive away from Hollywood and other LA sites/neighborhoods. The only con was that we were not aware there were two other sets of guests on the property until we arrived/saw a recent review. While we hardly encountered them, I do wish this was disclosed in the listing as it does make a difference to the feeling of privacy. Overall if you're looking for a beautiful property to use as a home base as you explore LA, we would recommend!

All was as described in the listing. Beautiful cozy casitas at the back of the property on a quiet street. Well appointed kitchen and bath, outdoor table and chairs on patio overlooking pool and hot tub. We needed a bit of extra coaching with projector television and air conditioning, and owner responded within a few minutes to make everything perfect. Would definitely stay again.

The listing says private and it is not. The home has 2 airstreams and a pool house that share the yard. The use of the hot tub requires you to schedule a time and provide notice to the owner an hour ahead of the time you wish, as long as someone else isn't already booked for that time. When we asked to use the hot tub at 9pm, (closing at 10pm per the book) the owner initially gave push back sayng that the motor is loud in their bedroom. But they did reluctant turn it own and left it on overnight. The pool was green and had debris the day we arrived on Saturday. They did not "clean" it until Sunday afternoon. There was an issue with the door lock to the pool house and we weren't able to lock it, at all. They did replace the batteries later that day and we were able to lock the door. The shower has only one temperature setting, scalding hot; no matter what position you put the handle at. Neither of us were able to take a full shower or wash our hair. I also noticed that other renters have complained about this in the past. It could be dangerously hot if there was a small child. Lastly, the pictures are not current. There are no privacy curtains on the hot tub and the outdoor sitting area is much smaller due to the addition of the airstream. Reduced to ply the concrete pad. Also there is not a fireplace for use at the pool house as stated in the description and in the pictures. Other than that, the property was lovely with orange and avocado trees. The orange are amazing! The yard is well manicured and the "stream" from the hot tub to the pool is nice. The pool house has some very nice touches and was comfortable. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and the rental worked for our needs.

We stayed here while visiting our daughter at Occidental. The guest house was clean, comfortable and conveniently located next to great trails.

We booked this for three people and though it looks spacious in pics, it’s TINY. Super cute, but I can’t imagine more than a couple staying. We paid for our daughter to stay, but she took one look at the size, and left to bunk at her brother’s. Our only other problem was the scalding shower water. On the plus side, the grounds are HEAVENLY, and the projector TV turned every night into a special event!!! We LOVED this feature so much!!! The host, John, was a delight—VERY easy to reach and always happy to help. Overall, this is a charming couples rental we would stay at again!!

We had an amazing stay and the owners were very accommodating. Unfortunately the weather was colder than expected so it was too cold to swim but we enjoyed the hot tub. My kids still rave about the oranges they picked off the trees!

John and Deena offer a delightful guesthouse, fully stocked and furnished, set in a classic California property laden with fruit trees (fresh OJ anyone?) We would have stayed longer and should have. Next time we will.

The house was cozy, well supplied with dishes, utensils, extra bedding...even robes and slippers! We had an amazing, relaxing time. Which was exactly what we were looking for! John and Deena were awesome!!! The place looks exactly like the pictures! Privacy was kept and they were great hosts with awesome communication. The location was perfect for getting away from the busy LA and the mountains were beautiful up close. Minutes away from Eaton Canyon which was a nice spontaneous activity. Had a wonderful time! Deena and John have a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay in their guest house. It was clean and had everything we needed. We’d love to stay again the next time we’re visiting LA.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the guest house, the patio, the swimming pool, and the beautiful garden. John and Deena are very discreet and let us enjoy the pool and garden as much as we wanted. The neighborhood is very quiet and there are opportunities to hike within 5 minutes from the house.
