Villa Marietta

The property was gorgeous with an incredible view. Would absolutely stay there again. The view, perfect breakfast every morning with homemade cakes, nice Italian meats and cheeses, homemade espresso. Its a walk up the path of lemons but really only a few minutes to town. Vincenzo was very attentive and his wife was an amazing cook and also super friendly.

Just make sure you count out the cash with them when you pay as there was a mix up with us at first, got cleared up quickly nonetheless!

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Marietta per una sola notte, ma è stata un'esperienza davvero fantastica. Raggiungere la struttura è semplice e dispone di un parcheggio privato gratuito, un valore aggiunto non da poco in Costiera. La vista dalla camera è semplicemente spettacolare e rende il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Vincenzo e Carmela sono due persone splendide. Vincenzo ci ha accolti con grande cordialità e ci ha riempiti di attenzioni durante tutto il soggiorno, chiedendoci più volte se fosse tutto di nostro gradimento. Ci ha anche parlato dello yogurt fatto in casa da sua moglie, che abbiamo assaggiato a colazione: davvero delizioso. Come ulteriore gesto di gentilezza, alla partenza ci ha preparato anche due panini per il viaggio. Piccole attenzioni che fanno davvero la differenza e che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Consigliamo Villa Marietta a chiunque desideri trascorrere un soggiorno in un ambiente accogliente, con una vista meravigliosa e un'ospitalità autentica.

The most wonderful view we could’ve imagined. We were the only guests staying at the property while we we there which made it even better. We had the entire terrace to ourselves. The room was large and spacious and a wonderful homemade breakfast and espresso was provided. Our hosts were so sweet. Definitely take advantage of the shuttle or else you’ll have to carry your luggage up 350 stairs like we did! Owners were very communicative!

Location is superb with fantastic views down to the town on Minori and the coast. The host was welcoming and informative about padestrian access to the town. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Free parking was provided.

Access road is a long and very narrow one leading up from the town, with few passing places. Wifi in the property has a good signal strength but very low speed unsuitable for any video streaming. The shower & curtain very basic. The proprietor we found to be overly intrusive, constantly checking on us, even when I ventured out of the room in the evening to take some photos I was alarmed by his voice coming from an open window above! Also at breakfast we were the only guests and he sat with us the entire time - all very awkward, so much so that we avoided it on our last day by leaving early. The breakfast itself comprised a few pieces of fruit, some breads and small portions of homemade yogurt and jam (which I had to ask for). Coffee and milk poured at the table was fine for the first cup but seconds seemed to be a problem as he went off to get more milk from somewhere. We ate take-away pizza in the room the previous evening, which was met with a look of disgust and a lecture about ants from the garden, shortly followed by a lecture about separating glass bottles from cardboard waste as he brusquely scooped up the few items from outside our room..
