A wonderful B&B, centrally located in Olhao, really beautiful location and our room was lovely. Rose and Gino are great hosts, communication before our stay and whilst there . They make staying in this town very easy , with lots of advice and help. Breakfast was delicious.. recommendations about trips, restaurants and travel.

The owners, Rosie and Gino went above and beyond to help us out when we need it. Breakfast was lovely and served at a communal table giving us the opportunity to meet some of the other guests. Our room was lovely, comfortable bed and private terrace with comfortable furniture.

Everything was as expected. No standout issues.

The breakfast each morning was great. We had to catch a plane very early so Rose made us some sandwiches for the road and we grabbed them from the fridge on the way out.

We felt very welcome and very well looked after. Rose was always willing to help and give the best advice on where to go and where to eat.

The hosts were outstanding. Te robes are a great touch. I love the character of the space. There’s a beautiful roof top deck.

For one the kitchen crockery was fine but for more it would be tight.

Rose prepared a delicious continental breakfast for each day of our stay. We particularly enjoyed being able to relax with our breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Both Gino and Rose were very friendly and made great suggestions for places to visit on each day of our trip. Gino was available to provide an airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated after a day of travelling. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with a private balcony. The location was in the old part of town, close to the market, local restaurants and shops. There are also easy to use transport links to Faro and islands filled with long sandy beaches.

It was a very enjoyable stay and a lovely guesthouse. There really isn't anything negative that we can say about it. The stairs to use the terrace could be a challenge when wet or for those with difficulty of balance.

The owner was nice and friendly. It is a nice looking apartment with all the amenities you would need.

The main reason I booked the apartment was because it mentioned on Booking that they have extra large double beds. I was very disappointed to see that the beds were normal double beds. On the small size actually. The apartment looks like the pictures but I trusted the booking reference and I cannot tell from the pictures what size are the beds. We were charged 50 Euro extra for one week for pet fee, for extra cleaning I was told. No one came to clean the apartment the whole week we were there. There are air conditioning units in every room and there were two small electric heaters but it is a big apartment and it is hard to heat it. They should really create different listings for the apartment building, as it was 10 min walk from the location showed on maps when I booked and there is no rooftop terrace on the apartment building. I was disappointed by the apartment but we didn't cancel it since by the time we got there everything else was more expensive.

Our stay at Zenit Guest House was exceptional. We were welcomed with open arms. There was a technical issue with our original stay, and they sorted out a solution which we adored. We can recommend the stay and the kindness of the owners. As we left early in the morning and the breakfast was included, they prepared lunch packages the day before.

This amazing guest house is a fabulous home away from home! Not only are the rooms extremely clean, they have all the facilities you require for a very comfortable stay. The location of the guest house is absolutely perfect, with everything right on your doorstep or a couple minutes walk away. The breakfast served each morning on the stunning roof terrace is absolutely delicious, 11/10! All fresh local produce and the serving very generous. The best part of this guest house are the amazing hosts, Gino and Rosie. From the moment I was picked up from the airport I was given a very welcome by Gino and Rosie was extremely helpful in providing me with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They truly make you feel right at home and are so willing to give you their time to ensure you have the best stay possible. I've travelled the world solo and not often do I become so attached to a place in such a short period of time but I truly feel that Zenit Guest House is my Portugese home. Thank you for everything Gino and Rosie, I already look forward to my next stay with you!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The guesthouse is located in the heart of the beautiful town of Olhao. There's a terrace with an amazing view over the ocean and the town. Breakfast is served there - and it is delicious! The hosts are very kind and helpful, especially Rosa, who even gave us some useful insider tips on what to see and do in the town. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The house is very cosy and friendly. We recommend it to anyone and we hope to go back!

There was an unexpected city tax to pay - we didn't know about it beforehand.

1. Water insulation in the bathroom didn’t work well. so it was very wet after showering. 2. The room shows 15 m2 on booking.com, but only about 7 ~ 8 m2 in real. 3. City tax (8%) are not listed and clearly mentioned in the confirmation order. one needs to pay that when arrive. I am not pleasant with this part.

We didn't get the accomodation we booked

We were misled as to the location. Arriving late our taxi took us to the address we booked only to find we were to be accommodated elsewhere. We ended up in a housing estate with practically no facilities with the proprietor even telling us the area wasn't safe. We later found that the window locks didn't work. There was a pool area on the roof. It was dirty and the water was cloudy. The sun beds provided were tattered, dirty and worn. We didn't spend any time there. In the end we cut short our stay and had to book alternative accommodation. The proprietor promised a refund. Needless to say it hasn't been paid and the proprietor doesn't answer my messages. Avoid. This accommodation cannot be trusted. I might add that I am a regular traveller and regular user of booking.com, with a high genius rating. I have never before had reason to complain about accommodation. This experience was dire and smacked of money grabbing.

The breakfast was very nice!

We booked the small bedroom with private bath. They should really point out that you need to walk down a very steep stair to reach the bathroom on the ground floor. The bathroom is partly in the kitchen, partly in the reception witch means that to reach the bathroom you have no privacy at all. I woke up in the middle of the night, needed to go to the bathroom. Not one single light in our room worked so I had to struggle in the dark to find the stairway! They do say that the bedroom is small and I totally agree! So small that the bed is turned the wrong way out from the wall. The pillows were hard like rocks, very uncomfortable. There is no mirror, hangers or other things you expect in a bedroom.

This place is huge, as you get two floors and a rooftop, I loved where it was located, as to reach the seaside we needed just a few minutes. Also getting there from Olhao main station was not hard.

Overally this flat is nice, but you have to keep in mind few things - we notified owners (via option in booking and via private message) we need to use a 'free airport transfer' which was offerred in the description, but later on we were informed that we didn't confirm it (we weren't aware we have to). Also, we did not expect that swimming pool is located in different building than the one we stayed in - unfortunately due to that, we did not manage to use this utility. Also (maybe I just mixed something in this case), breakfast is for room-rentals only, you don't get it when you're in the flat.
