R & R River Retreat è un bellissimo 3 camere da letto 3 bagni 3 piani pieno di log casa proprio sul fiume Coosawattee e offre: camino, TV satellitare, vasca idromassaggio, sauna, pozzo del fuoco, tavolo da biliardo, veranda protetta, mangiatoie per cervi, WIFI e sauna interna. Come uno degli appartamenti per animali domestici di Sliding Rock - non ci sono tasse per animali domestici e dispone di un cortile recintato.
Il piano principale ha 2 camere da letto, 1 bagno. 1 camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale e TV satellitare, e l'altra ha una camera da letto matrimoniale con lettore DVD che è compatibile BluRay e WIFI (senza cavo).
Master suite al piano superiore dispone di un letto king pillow top, TV satellitare, bagno e veranda privata e macchina da caffè Keurig.
Il livello del patio ha il terzo bagno completo, sala giochi con biliardo e TV con lettore DVD che è compatibile BluRay e WIFI.

Good river view. The river is deep enough to swim in if you can brave the steep bank and submerged boulders. A relatively secluded cabin; no one was in the three other cabins on the short road. We took many walks on the roads without seeing anyone except deer and geese. The pillows upstairs were too thick so bring your own unless your neck is as long as a giraffe's. Drive in is fine except the last 100 yards, which is steep and starting to wash away. Very comfortable cabin, no other complaints.

Overall, this was a great cabin. It is beautiful and so peaceful. Deer are everywhere and they will let you feed them corn from just 1-2 feet away. Everything was clean, the hot tub, sauna, everything, which isn’t always the case at others we have stayed. This cabin had everything for the dogs and they had the best time! We were able to access the river like we thought we would be able to, the embankment is too high to fish or swim directly behind the cabin. Also, there was a burn ban our entire stay, so were unable to use the fire pit.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is very well appointed and has everything you could possible need. The driveway is a little scary at first, but after going up and down it a couple of times it’s fine. The scenery is amazing, we had a bunch of deer come by to nibble on feed bought for them. The fishing was ok, my son caught one bass (I think) and was happy. We wound up not bringing our pup, but I would rate this 5-star in terms of being dog-friendly. The entire bottom deck is gated and the gated area for bathroom-time is more than sufficient for a dog to do its business. We loved it and would love to return!

We originally booked this cabin because it was advertised as being on the river. Based on that, we assumed it would be more easily accessible and not located high up in the mountains—but that wasn’t the case. The cabin is about a 15-minute drive up winding mountain roads, which can be pretty nerve-wracking if you’re not used to that type of driving. There are no guardrails and little to no room for error, which made coming and going stressful.The road directly leading to the cabin was another challenge. The listing described it as “moderately steep,” but that felt like an understatement. It’s significantly steeper than expected and may be difficult for some vehicles or drivers.One thing to note is that you don’t receive the exact address or directions until about 10 days prior to your stay, so by then you’re already committed.On the positive side, the rental company was very communicative and easy to work with, which we appreciated.As for the cabin itself, the rooms were smaller than anticipated. The bottom floor stayed very cold and we weren’t able to get it to a comfortable temperature during our stay. Additionally, the shower on the lower level requires a bit of a step up to get into—something to be aware of—and the water pressure overall was fairly weak.Overall, the cabin just wasn’t the right fit for us. The stress of getting to and from the property ended up taking away from the relaxing vacation experience we were hoping for.
