Apartment clean with views and outside seating

Height from old town.Meaning going down took 30 minutes but coming up you need transport unless quite fit.lots of stairs to climb.

The terrace was amazing, beautiful views and great to enjoy some sun and sunsets

Apartment was clean and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. We spent very little time in the apartment due to the amount of steps to reach it from the town so we ended up staying out all day.

Would have been nicer to have been met in person and got some more local information. We got the shuttle bus from the airport and then tried to find the apartment by walking and using Google Maps, as we had received no further instructions. It took us absolutely ages and we trudged up hundreds of steps with our cabin bags. After we arrived, we had some Whats App messages about buses etc. There was no mention whatsoever on Booking.com of the amount of steps it would take to reach the apartment from the town. We are both fit individuals who love walking, but there was no mention of the 199 steps down to the main road, and then further 100 or so steps either down to the port road or once you got to the old town. After a day out, we would have to climb around 300 steps to get back to our apartment. We tried the buses at night, but this was very confusing as you couldn't see out to judge where to get off. As a result we would leave the apartment in the morning and not return until mid to late evening, so that we did not have to do the steps more than once a day. I couldn't enjoy a glass of wine or two or relax properly in the evenings, as we knew we had to tackle the 300 steps. When we left, an elderly couple had arrived via taxi the night before and I don't believe they had any idea about the location of the apartment either. If you have never visited Dubrovnic before, you wouldn't know that it was basically built on steps. I think there should be more clarity on what it takes to get to the apartment from the town. Not everybody wants to travel everywhere, or can afford, to use taxis/Ubers all the time.
