WE contacted them ON THE DAY of the planed stay there and they said DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT ROOMS FOR US! Booking had to relocate us at 19:00 around 10km away from the Libera hostel in a foreign city!!! They turned off their phone and refused to help or give us any information. WORST PLACE EVER!! They were extremely rude on the phone, like it was our fault THEY DO NOT HAVE A PLACE FOR US on the day of the stay.. Worst part is that we had already paid..

Family owned property, washing service for 6lv. Have nice outdoor area to sit. Big comfy bed

Good relation of price and comfort. The location is good - kind of secondary center of Sofia in low-rise houses district. There are cozy cafes, 10 min walkway to supermarkets and transport. The property was clean enough, the owners family was welcoming.

A bit tight kitchen with single cooktop.

I like the neighborhood, not too crazy, very nice neighborhood.

Host is very responsive! Room is warm and clean. The house is located in a residential area and it’s super quiet and tranquil:) bed is comfy and huge.

It was bit difficult to find the place at night, but the host helped all the way, from checkin and accommodated a late checkout and even stored my luggage.

There is hot water and a cute dog. The owner's Mum was kind to me when I was there.

You should know this isnt a hostel, hotel or guesthouse it is a family home and you will be using whichever room they have available at the time (regardless of which option you select on booking.com). This is what I was told after I checked in. In booking . com it CLEARLY SAYS the deluxe single room has a private kitchen and includes photos of a private kitchen and living area etc. But this is not true. So if you work online (like me) don't stay here. You cannot work or have quiet space in this house. After I arrived I was told everything is shared - bathroom and kitchen. I was put in a random room next to the kitchen, it was loud when they have family gatherings at night. When I come back to my room it feels like I'm walking into someone's family event. The owner's Mum was the one who checked me in and after I asked why the room is different she put me on the phone with the owner. I asked the owner why the room I got isnt the room I booked. I sent her screenshots of my booking. Instead of listening and answering my question the owner just got mad at me and even yelled at me to go find somewhere else if I don't like it. She told me to get out 3 times and find somewhere else because her reviews arent that bad and she's sure I cant find a cheaper place in Sofia. So, she already knows she is misleading people - she is taking advantage of people with the price and false advertising. It was too late to book another place somewhere else but now I understand why other reviewers said they left after checking in.. If the owner had been kind and listened I wouldnt have to write this. Since she didnt update the website information I am sharing the facts here. I've been to 33 countries and never had a host yell at me just for asking why the room I booked isnt the same as the one on the website - this is reasonable to ask. Edit: The host messaged me me after writing this review telling me I have personal issues.

For capital city it is fully sufficient judging by price/quality coefficient. Some repairs/improvements are being carried on. Hope it will be much better after completion. Kitchen is very well equipped, fridge available.

Staff was accomodating to a certain degree, room was big enough.

Key didnt work, had to sleep in a room where i couldnt lock my door even if i had to go out. It was ok i guess if for 1 night only, you get what you pay for, dont expect much.

Where to begin, the listing does not match this property. There are no smoke detectors in the room, nor air conditioning, the kitchenette is a microwave on a shared table. The room we were given at the top of the building far end had a sagging roof made from non treated chip board, when it rained on our first night the water leaked down the walls and onto the floor, there was exposed wiring under one of the beds.. we complained and were asked to leave, which we did happily, the owner is rude as is her daughter, there was dog mess on the paths. The beds were also chip board which meant the mattresses couldn't breathe, the sheets are nylon, the pillows are rock hard and lumpy. The outside stairs are lethal. Especially when wet. Just avoid this place please. I could go on but hopefully you get the picture.
