Penthouse At The Peaks 623
Peaks Penthouse # 623 è il massimo in termini di bellezza e lusso. Una residenza privata di 3 piani situata nel The Peaks Resort, questo attico 4 camere da letto / 3 bagni offre un'esperienza senza rivali nel cuore del Telluride's Mountain Village. Il primo piano vanta un invitante foyer d'ingresso, una camera da letto principale, una seconda camera con bagno privato, una terza camera da letto e una lavanderia. La spaziosa suite padronale è dotata di vetrate a tutta altezza, balcone privato con vista mozzafiato sul crinale di San Sophia, camino in pietra, letto a baldacchino king e bagno privato con vasca idromassaggio e doccia a vapore separata. La seconda suite è arredata con un letto matrimoniale e un bagno privato con un'impressionante cabina doccia in stile grotta di pietra. Anche a questo livello è una terza camera da letto recentemente ristrutturato con letto matrimoniale e rotelle trundle che è perfetto per i bambini o una coppia. Una bella scala a chiocciola conduce drasticamente al piano superiore per la grande sala con due ampie aree salotto tra cui camino in pietra, centro di intrattenimento, un imponente tavolo da pranzo, grande cucina gourmet, angolo colazione e 1/2 bagno. L'avvolgente parete di finestre e il grande balcone permettono di ammirare la bellezza mozzafiato del Mountain Village e la cresta di San Sophia. Splendidi pavimenti in legno, ripiani in granito, lavori in pietra e armadi in legno pregiato danno il tono all'elegante atmosfera di montagna di questo attico. Dalla zona giorno, una seconda serie di scale a chiocciola conduce alla quarta camera da letto che dispone di 2 grandi letti a castello, piccola area salotto con balcone e bagno privato completo.

Great place with plenty of space and a lovely view. So much to do in the village and a really short ride to town if required.

First let me say that this penthouse was perfectly equipped t for our stay. My husband and I booked this for ourselves and 3 adult children with their plus ones. The amenities at The Peaks were amazing and the living space including amazing views were perfect. Because it was August and gorgeous weather, it made the penthouse pretty warm even with all windows open and shades that could be drawn closed. The “interior bedroom” on the first floor doesn’t have any windows or ventilation so that even with a fan going needed the door to be open all night. Same was for the bedroom on the 3 floor that had doors opening into the kitchen area (it’s a loft) but also very warm as the range and oven vent vented through the room. The master was spacious and wonderful and the other first floor bedroom was great. We realized their was a pullout bed in the living room so that the person in the room with no windows ended up there. All in all an amazing stay. These problems may not be so pronounced in the winter months if the heat is kept low.

The Peaks is a great resort -- the gym/spa and ski valet especially. This condo has great views, however several things were disappointing for us. First of all, there were small pieces of broken glass on the floor that didn't get cleaned and on two occassions was stepped on causing cut feet. The bathrooms all had problems. The upstairs bathroom window would not open without falling off the hinges and potentially being stuck open. The master shower is uncomfortably small and terribly designed. The second downstairs bathroom has no ventilation and is covered in mold. Also, there is nowhere to hang a towel or hand towel, and very little counter space. All around not well thought out or comfortable. Kitchen has dim lighting, insufficient utensils, and one of the burners doesn't work. Sliding doors are sticky and almost impossible to open to get out onto deck and BBQ. In general, the downstairs is very poorly planned. One of the bedrooms has no easy bathroom or shower access (have to go through one of the other bedrooms) and the furniture doesn't fit the space. Also, blinds broken and be creaks so loudly it's impossible to sleep. For the price, we found it very disappointing and remarkably poor design. Would not stay again. We've been doing this trip for 8 years and this was the most expensive and least comfortable place we've rented. Also, your staff was very unconcerned when emailed about the broken glass. In general, felt like a place no one would ever live comfortably. Just the bare minimum that people will tolerate for a few day or week trip. Not the level of quality and care expected.
As I said, the Peaks is great and the condo has a wonderful location, but the layout/design, amenities, and maintenance we well below average.
